Hey everyone,
I thought this might be a nice idea for a thread: stories, concepts, etc that we're surprised Big Finish haven't done yet. I'm surprised we haven't had a John Dorney Dalek story yet. |

I'm a little surprised we haven't had a First Doctor Dalek story. But admittedly, it feels odd to slot in any extra stories before TDMP - maybe now that they've got a Ben for their Polly? (Edit: er wait they met the Daleks in Power for the first time didn't they? It would have to be Steven and Dodo then. Perhaps I do get why they haven't done it...)
I think we're all waiting for the Pertwee Cyberman story as well.

I think we're all waiting for the Pertwee Cyberman story as well. Didn't we kind of get that with The Blue Tooth? I'm a little surprised that we haven't gotten at least one story with the Season 21 Five/Tegan/Turlough crew or a solo Fourth Doctor tale yet. Oh, actually... How about an Eighth Doctor pure historical? They seem to be few and far between across any medium. |

Didn't we kind of get that with The Blue Tooth? Yeah, but I think we all want to hear a full cast story where Three takes on the Cybermen. Now that sounds like a splendid idea. Oh, I was mistaken in thinking that it was two that haven't been produced. I've heard those. I have quite the soft spot for The Elite, it hits a very raw nerve for me personally with the Academy. |

4th Doctor/Adric season Season 6B adventures I'd love for a season of Tom Baker and Matthew Waterhouse as the Fourth Doctor and Adric. It's a relationship that never got to fulfill its potential due to how short it was, yet has so much potential. The CC Helicon Prime is strongly implied to be set during 6B, as the Doctor has a sense of purpose that gives Jamie the impression he'd intended to land there. |

Full cast stories with the Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Turlough.
Also, a proper Kamelion appearance. He's a shape-shifting android, so just explain the different voice on damaged circuits of something. It was a missed opportunity to use him in a Companion Chronicle context, with Tegan or Turlough asking him to assume their form for their introspection (Turlough did this in one of the novels). I know he made a sort of appearance in a previous Fifth Doctor story, but that was a highly unusual story.

Ironically, Frobisher was a pretty good show of how a shapeshifting companion could work, but Kamelion is really interesting in that his will can be completely dominated by that of another. As we see in both The Crystal Bucephalus and Planet of Fire, from the character's standpoint that's an incredibly dangerous position to be in and for the writer offers a wealth of possibilities. Just as an example, imagine if while taking the Gravis home at the end of Frontios, it had suddenly gotten control of Kamelion and used him to free itself. Actually, speaking of the Companion Chronicles, we never really got to find out how Kamelion felt about essentially being an elaborate puppet. He had enough of his own will to try and help Peri, so there was definitely a distinct personality buried beneath everything else. |

I now remember why I thought Philip Martin's "writers are basically assassins" quip from the Mindwarp commentary made so much sense to me.  Yeah, that'd be really interesting to see. And if the writers didn't want to go with the Saward era slaughter typical of those later years, they could have the people that Tegan encounters suffer hideous, unjustifiable fates, instead. It'd be interesting to juxtapose her and Turlough together, see why one chose to stay while the other left. It could feed into Turlough's later soul searching from the outset. |

Oooooh no, sorry, don't like the idea of foreshadowing Tegan's departure at all. The whole point is that she makes a snap decision after a horrendous day. Tegan's impetuous, and speaks before she thinks, she makes her decision there and then in the moment. And then *crucially* she comes back. She runs back in. She has *already* changed her mind. If the Doctor and Turlough hadn't left yet, she'd have gone off with them.

I want
- 4th Doctor and Adric stories
- 5th Doctor, Tegan and Turlough (and Kamelion) stories [alternating with Tegan, Nyssa and Adric stories - don't want to miss out on this team now we have them. I wish we'd been flipping between these teams for years rather than the Older Nyssa stories]
- Jo Grant meets the Cybermen
- an Early Adventure or Chronicle set during Steven's time in the TARDIS when they meet the Toymaker again. As well as the two characters knowing each other Purves and Bailie started their careers together in rep so it's a reunion in more ways than one.
- 1st Doctor, Ben and Polly stories (and a Ben Short Trip or two performed by Elliot Chapman)
And some Five Companions type tale where the 2nd Doctor has all his companions together at once. A Hines/Wills/Watling/Padbury/Chapman/Hines romp.
