Yep, there's a whole bunch of movies and tv shows that came out between 2001 and 2009 that I didn't see for the same reason. I have dozens of seasons of boxsets sitting in my Batcave collecting dust LOL. A lot we can't let Jnr see because it's adult tv with language/violence etc. No way will I let him watch South Park yet Three for three. Similar here, although it was for a degree. I've a backlog of shows and series that fell by the wayside sometime during the mid/late-2010s and I never picked them up again. I'm only just now going through and catching up with them. I look at it this way: At least, now I don't have to worry about the span of time between each season and the next. I can just run through them like I did sometime ago with shows like Blake's 7, Farscape, SG-1 (man, that took a while...) , Person of Interest, Due South and others. Even better for these more recent shows as they're built for binging. (Psst~ If Junior loves his fantasy, it might be worth checking out Trollhunters on Netflix to see if it's also his speed. It's been a great show to watch with family.)

On Saturday night I finished my 'Arrow' run-through (184episodes, including crossovers, over exactly 5weeks? Jesus!). Whilst I will say that I didn't particularly 'love' series 5 and 6 (I think it was), overall, I think I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would!
Since night I've watched the first six episodes of 'The Flash', which I'm certainly adoring so far!

Monsters at Work - Oh, this ticked all the right boxes for me! Monsters, Inc. is my favourite film, so to see something that picks up immediately where it left off (but before the last scene!) is very appealing to me. It seamlessly blends in Monsters University & Monsters, Inc. with ease, but does its own worldbuilding and showcases its own cast. It's great to see various MI characters in the background, or get the odd line or gag, but it's equally great to see the new characters get a lot of time and their own distinct personalities. Having said that, it's Billy Crystal who steals the show as Mike and I hope John Goodman gets a similar platform later in the series.
It's not a Pixar production, but it's clearly a real labour of love and the animation is beyond TV quality. Can't wait to see this develop over the next 8 weeks and I hope it gets its time to shine on Disney+ once Loki ends next week.

Has anybody else been watching "Loki" and feeling that this is what DW would look like if it had a Disney budget rather than a BBC one?

Has anybody else been watching "Loki" and feeling that this is what DW would look like if it had a Disney budget rather than a BBC one? Yup! I posted a few comments above yours. I have read a couple theories about next weeks episode. ooh.. It's going to open up the MCU a lot more if true.

Yesterday and (so far) today I've been taking a break from my Stargate franchise rewatch to watch a single-season series that's on Prime, called Comrade Detective.
The premise is that it's a lost and recently rediscovered Soviet-era Romanian cop show, complete with really obviously pro-communist/anti-Western propaganda dialogue...but it's all fake, the entire show. It's a modern show (2017) made with this as the premise, using Romanian actors but complete with English dubbed dialogue that doesn't match the mouth movements (as though the show has just been rediscovered and this was done to show it to a Western audience), and the 'communist propaganda' in it is deliberately in-your-face and over the top for comedic effect, but played completely straight as if it were a real 1980s cop show that was made with communist propaganda in mind.
It's a little...eclectic, shall we say, definitely not for everyone, but I'm finding it really funny. And there's a LOT of talent involved in it too -- the dub voices include Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, Jason Mantzoukas, Chloe Sevigny, and there are a bunch of sly guest voice cameos by Daniel Craig, Fred Armisen, and a bunch of others too. And it's short, only six episodes.

Today I've been watching 'Loki'. Whilst I don't know if I would strictly want to watch it regularly, I found it to be a pleasantly fun way to spend an afternoon.

Just finished Loki.
Not overly impressed I’m afraid to say. The majority of the episode was pure exposition (granted, it was expertly delivered by the shows guest star) but it fumbled the pace and momentum the show had going into its finale.
I feel like it sacrificed its characters at the expense of setting up phase 4.
Hopefully season 2 will be a return to form.
