Moon Knight I think this is the all-together best Disney MARVEL show so far. Where as the shows faltered in the middle or towards the end, it manages to stick the landing
It's beautifully shot with great design, has a mostly concise and rich story with some of the best dramatic sequences in the MCU, and tonally, it's silly and serious in all the right places. I was even re-watching some of the old episodes, and there was quite a bit of foreshadowing I hadn't picked up on.
Farscape After a couple of so-so episodes, I got hooked and ended up binging another 5. It's getting into some more high-concept sci-fi and I'm loving it! Or science-fantasy rather. It feels delightfully like a D&D campaign set in space. And it's still horny as all hell. The blue lady was having it off with the sun in one episode.

Seinfeld-The Finale
One of the worst tv show finales ever. Barely laughed at it.

Finished Russian Doll season 2 Watched series 3 of After LifeJust finishing up The Queen's GambitOn the Netflix front: Watched season 2 of The Witcher -- Massive improvement over the first season. Watched season 2 of The Umbrella Academy -- Very happy with this one. I liked S1, I liked S2 better. Watched The Haunting of Bly Manor -- Total misfire after the brilliance of Hill House. Watched I Think You Should Leave -- Weird show, vacillates between 'this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen' and laughing so hard I have to pause so I don't miss what's next. Working on Love Death + Robots -- Another really weird show, completely all over the map; awe-inspiring, uncomfortably offensive, amusing as hell, and occasionally really boring. Can't make head nor tails of it, but I'm still watching so I guess mission accomplished on their part. Working on Midnight Mass -- Only seen the first two episodes so far, but already infinitely better than Bly Manor, if not yet as good as Hill House. Outside of Netflix...only really watching things casually. New Star Trek every week, Dark Shadows when the mood takes me and/or I don't feel like committing to watching something that demands my undivided attention.

First episode of Berry & Fulcher's "Snuff Box". Well, that was... odd.
First episode of "Picard". Well, that was... disappointing.

I really enjoyed Bly Manor, but agree Hill House was better. But Midnight Mass is peak television for me. Up there with the greats. The mid-season turning point will knock you for six.

Inside No. 9 “Nine Lives Kat”
Sophie Okonedo is excellent but I couldn’t help but feel a bit underwhelmed by this entry in the series. Ah well, they can’t all be winners and it does have some lovely horrific ideas in it.

Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death (2014)
Thought I’d finally give this pilot a look. Recall liking what little I listened to of the Penelope Keith radio series SL jeres hoping this is just as good.

I've completely given up on that one. I was feeling as if the people who are guiding Trek now have no idea why people like the franchise and have to idea how to make it work in 2022. And then they give us Strange New Worlds. I love this show. It has a real nostalgic feel to it without feeling like it's pandering, and yet it is definitely made for a modern audience. The cast couldn't be more perfect. Anson Mount and Rebecca Romijn are killing it as Pike and Number One. And the bridge set it GORGEOUS. This show makes me so happy, yet at the same time it makes me furious. So the creative team knows how to make good Trek, they have just chosen not to with their other shows. Grrr.

I like the show, it's well produced, well acted, most of the time well written....but season 4 was the third consecutive season where they've used the exact same overall plot outline for the season as a whole and I've gotten terribly bored with that. Re: "the creative team" though...I don't think it's quite right to pin that on such an expansive term; things run differently now than they did in the Rick Berman days of old. Kurtzman runs the overall franchise of course, but that's kind of a brand director position not involved in day-to-day operations, while each of the series has its own creative teams operating completely independently of every other series in production. Any poor storytelling decisions on different series are poor decisions each being made independently of the other show's mistakes.

Things that are happy to go through the cliches and justifying it by acknowledging it never sit well with me. Feels like they’re being cleverer than they are. And this one just missed that final surprising twist, I think.

This weekend I’ve binged all of Marvel’s What If…? once again. Of course my favorite is still the T’Challa Star Lord episode, but I also loved the Strange Supreme episode and the Killmonger episode and… look, I just really really like this series!
One episode that did surprise me was the Party Thor episode. The first time around I remember not really caring for it, but this time I just really enjoyed it for the light hearted fun it was trying to be. I love how this series definitely likes to show universes where things went horribly wrong, but it also gives it just these really feel good, lighter universes where characters can just be happy or get involved in silly adventures like a god sneaking out to throw an intergalactic party while his parents are out.

Any poor storytelling decisions on different series are poor decisions each being made independently of the other show's mistakes. Kurzman is a very convenient target because he's such an unapologetic hack writer. But, yeah, he cannot shoulder the blame for everything any more than Berman could -- arguably even moreso since Kurzman is juggling far more than Berman ever had to. But I think we can safely leave some of the big picture problems with Berman. The cheap continuity-jodrell fanservice and contrived save-the-world plots have his fingerprints all over.

FarscapeFinished Season 2. Lots of great episodes. Plenty that I have vague memories of having seen before which is always fun. I loved the interrogation episode. Showing the fallibility of memory, with each account under/over-emphasizing elements and interpreting events differently based on their personality and biases. I found the trilogies a little bit cumbersome but still enjoyable. At least I didn't have to wait a week for the follow-ups. Speaking of which, Jesus, they know how to end these seasons on a cliff-hanger. It's hard to imagine what it would have felt, to know you wouldn't get a resolution for half a year! EDIT: Season 3 has just been one gut punch after another. I'm only 6 episodes in!

Miss Marple “Ordeal By Innocence” (2007)
I don’t know why but it is strange to think that at one point we had so many Christie adaptations on the go. Mind you, I doubt her estate was complaining.

I can’t seem to get on with “Agatha Raisin” as of late so I thought I’d change my tactics and give “Grace” a look.
I have no idea what the literary Grace is like but I feel like John Simms is now at the right age to play someone so evidently world weary but who is still capable of holding onto those small moments of hope.

The Conners S04E20 (I think that was the season finale). I have a suspicion this was filmed before they knew they were being picked up for another season as the ending could be seen as a closing bookmark..
