It's funny, Nicola Walker is highly acclaimed by Critics and judging by IMDB she's always busy in numerous popular TV series, but I'm British and I can't say I've ever seen or listened to anything else she's in, I know her solely for portraying Liv Chenka...and she's utterly brilliant in the audios, I'm very much hoping BF keep her around for a while yet. She says she doesn't want to appear in the TV series, but even if she did the BBC charter would probably block any BF characters from turning up in the show unfortunately...it also seems unlikely to me that the BBC would consider a companion in their 40's for New Who...

Well, she wouldn't have to play Liv, I suppose. She's a very popular TV star, I'm sure the vast majority of the audience would just see another A-list Brit talent coming into the show for a guest slot as they would if, say, Sheridan Smith popped up in the show. I've seen Nicola in absolutely tonnes of drama over the past decade as she's quite the regular on the box. Since Spooks, which she was the best thing in, she's had quite a few of her own starring shows like Unforgotten (Series 2 starts tonight), River, Babylon and perhaps most prominently Last Tango In Halifax where she's a huge part of the ensemble. I'm not sure how you've missed her! She's never off! With good reason too, she's terrific. Like she does with Liv she has a real knack of being able to make her characters seem so much more grounded and "real" than most other actors. I'm not sure - speaking hypothetically, since I don't think Liv is going to be on the show ever anyway - that anything in the charter would block her inclusion as long as any story didn't need you to know all her audios before hand. I don't think there's anything to stop it happening in theory if all parties were willing. And wasn't Catherine Tate 40-odds as a companion? I can't see Nicola as a companion on TV either, but more because she's one of the few working actors who honestly wouldn't be giving her career a step up by taking the job. She doesn't need it.

She has a relaxed, natural way with her lines that is very appealing. Even in the most contrived situations she never seems to be forcing the drama.

Then I should probably listen to Doom Co. 3 now. Wow, this is very early in the month to be releasing a box set.

Doom Coalition 2 was released on March 5th last year, if I'm not mistaken Though you're right - they usually save the 'big' release for the month (usually a box set) for the last Thursday of the month. To be honest though, I'm not going to complain that we're getting this sooner rather than later

Dark Eyes 4 was released two years ago today, so, to be honest, I'm not too surprised that it's coming out on Tuesday... Between Saturday & Monday I'm going to be listening to the other boxes in the series so that I'm all caught up with the series. Like with 'The War Doctor' this time next week, it's going to be sad to see this series finish but, well, I can't wait!

In the MP3 downloads file, in the Behind the Scenes folder, there is another folder containing 12 tracks of Stop the Clock. The main Stop the Clock folder holds 16 tracks however. Is this a case of the story is so long that it carries onto the final disc, or this is some sort of mistake? EDIT: Having just had a quick flick through the files, it seems they are just differently edited versions of the Behind the Scenes material - they're both the same, the tracks are just different lengths
