It will also feature Tracy Childs and Terry Mollory both confirmed on their Twitters last weekend.
Just a thought, something that's different, a Classic but still on known themes for Scott and Alex:
The Importance of being Ernest?
Though Alex recent Tweet had graphics that indicated Murder mystery
The Mousetrap or And then there were None?
or a certain Scottish play?

We know its classical and a challenge to pull off. I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest it might be an audio adaptation of some Aristophanes plays. I'd kill to do something classical... though actually, because of the limitations of the Greek stage, a lot of it's peculiarly suited to audio as players would enter to describe action taking place off stage that could never be realised. Maybe one day...

Aha we were discussing this over at the Confessions of Dorian Gray board but it probably is more appropriate here.

Hamlet is one of Shakespeare's most famous plays and Hamlet is a complex and wonderful role and a dream job for many actors.
I never think there is too many times to do any Shakespeare or any Classic Adaptions. And I love that Big Finish is branching out this way. Shakespeare will be great on audio. The entire cast is terrific and I can't wait to hear this.

I admit Hamlet has never been my favourite play. But what intrigues me here is what Alex says in the press release:
"my fundamental belief that Hamlet should be played young - as he is in the play"
This sounds like Scott & Alex put a bit of a new spin on it and that gets me all excited!

The entire cast is terrific and I can't wait to hear this. For those who aren't interested no one is forcing anyone to buy it but I am sure there are plenty of Big Finish fans who will look forward to this. I agree 100%. While subjectively someone might not like Hamlet, the Classics range isn't a huge seller at its best so the releases have to be the big hitters that appeal to as many potential buyers as possible. That's not going to happen with Gentlemen Of Verona or Merrie Wives Of Windsor which are relatively obscure to the public at large - despite being wonderful plays - so going with Hamlet makes commercial sense AND crucially it seems a perfect part for Alex. Shakespeare already is great on audio, as you guessed, the BBC have a long and illustrious back-catalogue of adaptations which can be found very easily. I'm sure there are hundreds of non-Beeb versions too so anyone underwhelmed doesn't have a shortage of other options to hear the bard on audio. Pup went on a bit of a rant which I see is now edited so my points not as clearly directed as it was but I think it still stands. Besides, if it does well perhaps we'll get a Shakespeare range. Tom Baker as Falstaff anyone?
