A little tidbit on this release in today's news item: "they'll face their greatest threat yet, one already familiar to the streets of London".
My automatic assumption was a) Daleks and b) a more serialised affair than the previous boxset.

Given that Counter-Measures has thus far shied away from including any elements from Who (beyond Alison, Rachel and Gilmore, obviously), it'd be fairly random for the first such example to not be from Remembrance. (Assuming this is what the news story refers to, of course.)

Return of the War Machines! The Web of Fear, from their perspective? I'd love to hear that. The dating is pretty much right.

(Assuming this is what the news story refers to, of course.) Actually it's also shied away from mentioning Remembrance. The first story involved an alien transmat system they'd got their hands on, but they never even mentioned the word Dalek.

Nice! This was along side J&L as BF DW-spinoff series that I'll always be well ready for more releases.

Never tried this.. probably might Would definitely recommend it. John Dorney's The Assassination Games is an excellent entry story, if not the original Remembrance of the Daleks.

www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/the-new-counter-measures-who-killed-toby-kinsella-1388
It serves as a sum up of what you need to know from the original and sets up the New.

Think of it like a decade or so later revival of a classic show, like The New Avengers or the 1980s continuation of Mission Impossible.
