Well, Big Finish have already got a deserved £60 out of me, and 2017 isn't even a day old yet. If only HP Lovecraft could get similar BF treatment I'd be so happy there might be a small accident.

Hmm... I'm interested but not sure I'm interested enough to be pre-ordering. I may wait for them to go on sale eventually.

The Invisible Man with John Hurt seems like a good deal to me.

HG Wells was one of the finest authors of his time period. What a brilliant move by Big Finish. Doctor Who owes everything to the Time Machine.

Seriously short on funds but this is right up my alley and the bundle does save some money. Hmm.

I've done a feature piece on this for the next issue of Starburst, based on an interview with David Richardson. I'm very excited for this and hope we get more HG Wells in later years, even non-science fiction stories.
I also wonder [just speculation[ how long it will be before we get Jules Verne.

I give it a year or two. There's plenty enough Verne for another bi-monthly release year.

Didn't they already do that doctor who?
Yeah, I remember it, War of the worlds, seems like an 8th doctor story, wasn't it.
Seriously, I would love for BF to do War of the Worlds, or was that Orson Wells, I gotta quit posting while drinking.

The Invisible Man with John Hurt seems like a good deal to me. He already played the invisible/forgotten doctor, what more do you want out of the man... Anything with John Hurt is amazing, but i'm greedy for more war doctor.

Wonder why they're using a different title now on The War of the Worlds adaptation, but none of the others? Think it has something to do with copyright issues?

And just think Big finish gave Jeff Wayne a plug in "Torchwood Before the Fall"

There's a message that says "Out of respect to those closest to John Hurt, whose passing was announced at the weekend, this release has been moved into February. Thank you for all the emails and messages we've received. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts." Fair enough. This, and Casualties of War, won't be the easiest things to start listening to when they come out.

Excellent. Been waiting for a this to be in a sale. Once again the bundle price really isn't a bargain though, not for UK buyers anyway.
Sometimes bundles offer a saving. More often I find it cheaper to place an order once every month or two for recent new releases and use the 10% discount and capped postage to get the items cheaper than their unit price within a bundle.
Case in point here: add these 6 HG Wells titles to a basket individually totals £53.94. So already that's less than a pound more than the bundle price of £53. Now take off 10% for being over £50 then add on the capped postage of £4 and the total is £52.55. A 45p saving!
It's not much but 45p here, 90p there soon adds up over a year or so to enough for a "free" purchase.

The Invisible Man was awesome - loved John Hurt's wailing in the background was wonderful.
The Shape of Things to Come just intrigued me full stop and Nicola Walker just gives her all throughout.
The Time Machine has always passed me by in all of it's incarnations but I have the audio and planned for sooner rather than later!

There's a real human heart to it. Seconded. This was a superb series from start to finish; I know people differ on BF's adaptation of 'The War of the Worlds' compared with other adaptations, but I loved that too. Six very different novels and BF showed their collective ability and range by doing justice to all of them.
