It wasn't as good as The Conspiracy, but it was nice to hear Ianto again. I'm not sure but {Spoiler}did they cop out at the end by having her survive? Wouldn't it have been more in line with Torchwood if the plane had crashed where it should have? Cheers Tony

Ah, true enough. I hadn't thought of that (I was just worried that {Spoiler} Big Finish might not be going as dark as the TV series Cheers Tony

I enjoyed this, I take the point about the ending but for a two-hander it managed to fill the time well. I got about 2/3 through and was wondering how it would fill the time; in the end it managed pretty well

Almost all the way through, I was suspecting that Zeynep was actually a member of the Committee and was trying to fool Ianto. Especially after she called people on a plane "cattle". And I'm still not convinced she isn't. Perhaps she's one of the "little people" in the Committee that was ordered to sacrifice herself in order to fulfill her mission, but in the end decided to disobey her orders?

I enjoyed this too, very much. Very worthwhile. I thought the performances were great, and I hope we hear more of Lisa Zahra in whatever roles. I thought the story was great also - well done, and more so because I think it lent considerable dignity to the characters even while leaving them human and in serious jeopardy. It also made me laugh out loud in a number of places, but without the humor seeming an intrusion on the gravity of the situation as I think can often happen. I'm really glad I got to hear it so soon after it came out, I'd have kicked myself later if I'd waited.
It was just fantastic to hear Gareth as Ianto again, and this much of him better still. Also I'm pretty excited about the trailer for the next installment and actually hearing Gwen and Rhys in a Big Finish production. It's a wonderful sound!

This was definitely an interesting story. I'm sure the TV show would have gone with the darker ending, but I'm glad that the audio didn't. I'm enjoying Torchwood so far, but I would definitely prefer having the team all together instead of in separate box sets. Still, I'm looking forward to Gwen next month.

I really loved this story, even more than the first episode. It's not high drama, and might not have the same replay value as some other releases, but it's solidly written and plays the right level of Iantoesque comedy to keep the tragic notes and tension going for a full-length story. Perhaps I've more of a taste for comedy than the others who've commented in this thread, but I'd rate this as one of my favorite releases from BF.

Ah, true enough. I hadn't thought of that (I was just worried that {Spoiler} Big Finish might not be going as dark as the TV series Cheers Tony It seemed rather in line with the optimism of some RTD era Who stories {Spoiler} See "everybody lives!" in Steven Moffatt's The Doctor Dances

I think BF will still go darker in future releases but I loved this one and the fact that Zeynep made it at the end made it better for me. Torchwood doesn't have to be over-the-top depressing every single episode. The darkness just has to be there.

I have to admit to not being a great Torchwood fan anyway, but I found this release disappointing. I liked the idea of the phone conversations but they went on too long and I didn't feel the story was going anywhere. I think full cast would have been better and I'm not keen on the character of Ianto anyway.
Anyway I'm glad the majority of people have enjoyed it - it's rare I don't enjoy a BF release.
