Sound off about the Golden Globes and the winners and nominees
I for won was really happy that Hugh Laurie, Oliver Coleman and Tom Hiddleston won for their performances in The Night Manager.

Disgusted that Humans wasn't nominated for anything. It's the best new sci-fi drama in a while and deserved to be nominated for every TV drama category.
Also disappointed that Ghostbusters 2016 wasn't nominated in the musical or comedy film categories. It seems that a lot of films/TV Series that deserved to win have been forgotten about and they've chosen lesser films/TV Series instead.

I was also glad The Night Manager did so well. Add on wins for The Crown and it was a very strong night for Brit TV.
Film-wise I'm a bit hamstrung as La-La Land, Manchester By The Sea and Moonlight aren't out here yet. I'll be seeing La-La Land this weekend so will be able to offer an opinion then. It apparently draws more than a little liberally from Jacques Demy which I'm intrigued by, more than worried about. Glad Aaron Taylor Johnson won for Nocturnal Animals - he was terrifying. To think how bland he's been in recent years I was worried Michael Shannon would blow him off the screen but he was fantastic.

It was a night of some very unintentionally funny speeches.

It was a night of some very unintentionally funny speeches. Tom Hiddleston's speech was definitely a bit weird. It wouldn't win many awards, but he did deserve the Best Actor Globe for The Night Manager.

It was a night of some very unintentionally funny speeches. And at least one pathetic response to a speech.
