I have actually started by going off to listen to the Bloodlust WOW, very impressed, and it certainly whet my appetite for more, very listenable and very entertaining stuff. I love the massive chasm of difference from the normal BF output.

Right now I'm enjoying Robert Dick's excellent Big Finish Day podcast...aren't Stephanie Ellyne and Matthew Waterhouse wonderful? I just love both of them--true Dark Shadows stars and supporters. They are both so funny and so very interesting! UPDATE: Rob--you just showed up talking about "Curse of Shurafa" (love it!), and then Joe Lidster, who is always entertaining, and lovely Lachele Carl! I am loving this! Hooray! Glad to hear you're enjoying. Nice to hear anything about it, in fact. It was a bit of a shock finding out the day after recording it that the forums were closing. PS Hello everyone, I’ve just found out about this place. The aforementioned Robert Dick.

It's really good to see you and others finding their way here, Robert!
Have some catching up to do with the CHS podcasts but they's always great and I really enjoyed the one you did with Daniel Collard.

It's really good to see you and others finding their way here, Robert! Have some catching up to do with the CHS podcasts but they's always great and I really enjoyed the one you did with Daniel Collard. Thanks - that's a really nice one to get feedback on. The original intention was to do a 'Day in the Studio' podcast and I was recording interviews all day at the UK studio session for Twinkling. And I was going to leave in moments where, for example, Joe or Davy came in and asked someone to come and actually do some work. And I remember halfway through me interviewing Penny, Alex and Ryan, Dan arrived for the stuff he was doing in the studio that day and literally walked into the interview, I just told him to sit down and join in. Later in the day, when everyone else was done *and already off down the pub* Dan and I sat down and chatted some more while Davy was resetting the studio after the recording. I remember really enjoying that bit and thinking as we were doing it that I could do a lot more with Dan another time. When it then came to time when we could release the podcast (after the plays had been released), I'd set wheels in motion to get Matthew, Stephanie and Lachele along to BF Day and thought the Day in the Studio and the Day at a Convention podcasts would come too close together. And Joe kindly offered to edit the Twinkling material as I had a lot on elsewhere - so we agreed to drop the Day theme and do two separate podcasts - one with Penny, Alex and Ryan and one with Dan. We can always do a Day in the Studio another time, if we have another day in the studio. I've no idea if all that was of any interest to anyone but me, but there it is anyway.

Never really experienced Dark Shadows at all (bar the movie, which I hated but I know everyone else does too lol). Picked up Snowflake: A Ghost Story for Halloween, since it's a freebie. Okay place to start?

Okay place to start? Great place to start. You get a feel for the atmosphere and it's a prologue for the excellent Bloodlust mini-series.

If you do end up with Bloodlust you won't be disappointed. It's an excellent starting point for complete newbies, not relying too heavily on prior stories and those continuity points that do exist are explained enough for first-timers. Then I suggest coming back here if you enjoy it and there are some really good suggestions on where to go next. Welcome!!

Enjoy Snowflake and then the first episode of Bloodlust, which is free. At that point, try out the first half of Bloodlust and then see if you're ready for the second half of Bloodlust. Enjoy!
