It's almost WrestleMania season, and the Royal Rumble is up this coming weekend, any surprises comin down?
Maybe Samoa Joe or Kurt Angle wins the Rumble, nah, but they might make waves. They had some classic matches in TNA, it would be great to see them set up against each other right away at mania.
Who wins the Rumble? Most think taker wins to face Cena at his last mania, I sure hope not, I don't want Cena tying Flair, cause Cena is no Flair.
I'd push Baron Corbin, but id bet on Braun Strouman.

At the Rumble if he returns I think Finn Balor would win, setting up a match with whoever the Universal Champion is at Wrestlemania to regain his title (Which'll probably be Reigns since they seem to be setting up and Owens vs Jericho match for Mania)
Samoa Joe wont win it if he comes up as Vince now wants to do a Cena vs Joe match at Mania and that may depend on if Cena takes the WWE Championship from Styles.
I love TNA/Impact and Im glad that its getting back on its feet with its new owners, now that Dixie has left the company (Even though she still has minor shares in it) Hopefully they can bring back some stars they lost under Dixie, like; Velvet Sky, Gunner, Raquel, and such

Well, at least Joe could carry Cena in a match,
Any idea who taker is gonna be up against yet?
Pretty sure it will culminate with the final meeting tween Goldberg and Lesnar.

There's still no definitive answer on whats happening with Taker and Cena because Vince changes his mind every couple of days and the writers are actually freaking out about it

I'm excited for Sunday. After getting a predictable Royal Rumble match three years in a row, it's nice to have one where I genuinely don't know who's going to win. There are a lot of guys announced who I can imagine winning it and there's always the chance of a surprise return.
Now, can we all take a moment to appreciate how brilliant Chris Jericho is?

JK Id enjoy seeing Jericho get a short stint as Universal champion, they said that the US title was the only one he was missing, but, they didn't figure in their new belt. I got to admit, he has been great for a damn long time now. And would have been content doing house shows and getting over younger talent, glad they talked him into another great run. Now letting him win the Rumble, would be as cool as H E double hockey sticks.

Kenny Omega has finally re-signed with NJPW, so he definitely wont be in the Rumble, which does leave a spot for another surprise entrant

I'm not getting my hopes up for Jericho world title run. I'm just glad he still so good at this stage in his career.
Part of me feels like they might have Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar be for the title. It would be weird since they're both part timers and I'm not sure what they'd do with the belt afterwards.
As for Smackdown's WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania, maybe a triple threat with Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and whoever wins at Elimination Chamber? There's a story in there.
I wasn't expecting to see Kenny Omega anyway. But it's better that we know now so people won't expect to see him and be disappointed.

I don't think Goldberg - Lesnar needs a title. The decider in their third bout sells itself even if its an abomination as a match. We're never going to get Flair-Steamboat from those two but with one stinker and one screwy quick job, surely third time is the charm?

I don't know, 2 guys, both stiff as hell, who were never the best wrestling types in the world, I would hope to get an Ivan Koloff, Bruno Sammartino match out of it, but I'm expecting another dud, but vince has surprised me a few times lately. Maybe Steve Austin shows up and gives each of em another stunner.

Well Cena has tied the record with Flair for WWE World Championship. Ive seen people getting in arguements online already about the numbers saying Flair is actually 23 and Cena is 18, but WWE doesnt count US titles or NWA titles or the like they are only counting the big title from WCW/WWE times.
Thank god Reigns didnt win the Rumble. Nice one Oron possibly setting up and Orton vs Wyatt match at Mania
Its seems they are taking it as Reigns vs Taker at Mania which should be interesting

I have Flair at 20. 2 times WWF, 2 times WCW International, 7 times WCW world champ, 9 times NWA world.
SO I don't know how WWE could come up with 16 to start with, unless they only added up the nwa and wcw, and forgot their own belt, it could be 21 if you count the WCW triple crown. And a wrestling fan counts the NWA as it was even older than the WWWF's championship, and was defended in the WWWF way back when. It's like arguing over boxing world titles. And by the way, Larry Holmes was better than Muhammad Ali, and he proved it(off topic)
I was surprised bout Orton winning the rumble, I figured vince wanted a huge draw for mania, and Cena vs Orton gets that, since they aint fought in a couple of years, but who knows whats goin down tween now and then.
Last night was only the 2nd time John Cena actually had a great match, the other was against Rob Van Damm. It takes an exceptional wrestler to make Cena look great, and that was the match of the night. I do hope they let AJ cleanly beat Cena for the title, in a one on one match, but I doubt it, not before Mania.
Looks like they have decided that a long match wont work with Goldberg and Lesnar, but I am enjoying watching Lesnar job for Goldberg. Wonder how much longer that lasts, I think we all agree they meet at Mania and that's it.
I hope Luke Harper gets a push, he is a hellova athlete, for such a big man, I enjoyed watching Corbin take out Strowman.
Hate to say it, but it's time Taker took a seat, permanently, he didn't look good last night.
One last thing, love the old Dolph Ziggler, he should have stayed heel his whole life, but he needs a mouthpiece, he's never been a great talker.

Mick Foley is one of just a few people, who could get away with wearing that gaudy green thing he's got on tonight. He looks like an overgrowed tablecloth.

Royal Rumble was an otherwise good ppv with an underwhelming Rumble match. Whatever happened to the tradition of throwing in a couple of fun cameos? Like when Bubba Ray Dudley was in it. Even the Boogeyman facing of with Bray Wyatt was a nice little moment. This year we got nothing like that. At least we got Tye Dillinger though.
Roman Reigns at 30 seemed like an intentional trolling of the internet fans. Goldberg, Lesnar and the Undertaker had already come out. There were no announced competitors still to come out, yet there was a spot left. Everyone was thinking it was gonna be, then it was Reigns even though he had already been in the title match. Speaking of Reigns, his match with Kevin Owens was very good. That moment with the chairs.
Great to see Samoa Joe on Raw. Hopefully he has a great run on the WWE main roster. Speaking of call-ups, there's a tag team turmoil at Elimination Chamber and not really anyone that seems like a real threat to American Alpha (maaaybe the Usos) so is this setting up for a certain debut? The Revival have nothing left to do in NXT and we know they work well with Gable and Jordan.
Very bad timing for Seth Rollins to get injured. I wonder who will face Triple H at Wrestlemania if he's not back in time. Rollins/HHH is the match we should have got at last year's Wrestlemania before another injury made that impossible. If we have to wait until SummerSlam or sometime, then most people will probably have lost interest. I'm sure some of the people who were initially interested already have.

As someone who remembers the days of paying 40 bucks a month to watch a pay per view, hell, I paid 80 cause of WCW's, I sure do enjoy payin 10 bucks for the WWE network. Got Elimination Chamber coming next week, and currently workin my way thru Raw from 1993 on.
I would love to see Baron Corbin walk out of the chamber as the new champ. That would shock and awe some folks. I just don't see Orton vs. Cena at Mania, but a fatal 4 way could be unique.
Currently watching the 3rd ever Raw, Macho Man vs. Repo Man/Smash/Krusher Krushev(Barry Darsow), man was a very under rated wrestler, and Repo Man could have been huge, it was a great gimmick, but it was in the era of gimmicks, I mean Doink, come on.

Toots Mond needs to go in the HOF, he was there with Vince's Dad and help to build it. Was even intrumental in the early years of WWF with Vince

I agree with Toots Mondt, and I think he might get his place in the next year or 2. But you never know who the WWE is gonna throw in there.
Id like Lombardi, Mondt, The Midnight Express, Bruiser Brody, and I could list a pageful, both from regional promotions and national ones. Ron and Don Wright from Knoxville, The Fuller family, The Mongolian Stomper, and that's just local from here.
