As for the Electoral College a lot of people in the US would be happy to get rid of it but the party in power that it benefited aren't going to argue for its demise.

I've literally been crying looking at some of the tweets. He had no right to do this. These people were entering the country legally. And only three GOP pols in Congress are openly speaking out against this. The GOP is a frightened shell of the party it used to be. Spineless. Weak. The scariest thing about all of this is that Steve Bannon is the main one writing these executive orders with no consultation to the relevant agencies that have to make these policies function. Our government is flying blind. I honestly thought it would take a little more time for Trump to overreach. Doing it in a week, that is a special kind of special. *Edited* Thank you ACLU.

Yeah the worlds crappy, nothing hits harder than life & i know this from experience, you can either take the beating or fight back. I come close to jacking it in, one extreme disaster after another, I've been sexually abused, violently bullied, cheated on, battled self medication & self harm & continue to battle my mental health issues everyday but why do i bother?....because i have two cousins who i love like my brothers & a wonderful 16 yr old niece who needs my support & advice. The small things in life are the ones worth fighting for the most. That's because you, mate, are a gent. Good to know you, even if it is only virtually. Thanks for the kind comment, you too sir are a gentleman & a good man.

They will be left with nothing should the current administration decides that all assets owned by immigrants are now the property of said government. Even though they have entered the country legally, are registered U.S. citizens and are both European. Fortunately, there are nonpartisan oversight bodies like this to make decisions like that just a little bit more difficult. That's the first week and the first legal case that's been lost... I've got a feeling this is going to be a trend.

My Congressman (who my little brother interned for) went to Dulles this evening with a couple of other Congressmen to try to make sure that the Federal judge's order was being enforced. The police wouldn't let them past, but I now feel very justified in voting for that man.
