I watched A for Andromeda on the weekend (7 episodes, of which only one is mostly complete - a few scattered clips and tele-snaps with captions are used to make up the rest). I really anted to see he whole thing. And then I thought, Could BF make this as an audio?
We've had lost unmade Doctor Who stories and lost Avengers episodes to great success. The Prisoner, where the episodes are existing, is being adapted, is being produced - as were a few Avengers episodes that are still in the acchives. But would their be an audience for something like this that would make it worthwhile for BF?
Aside from A for Andromeda, the other thing that came to mind was The Quatermass Experiment. Like the Prisoner and the Avengers, it might be possible to adapt Quatermass II, Quatermass and the Pit, and The Andromeda Breakthrough if the partially-missing stories were well received - and, if appropriate and allowed, they could lead to new stories in those series.
What do you think? And what other missing stories/series might be good to bring back? I'm mostly thinking science fiction, but don't let that constrain you!

I'd be completely onboard for a set of Big Finish Quatermass releases or an adaptation of A for Andromeda. Target Luna and the Pathfinders series could be interesting as well.

Don't disagree with any of it."Quatermass" and "A for Andromeda" would be great.

Going slightly off topic but this reminded me that Dad's Army still has a few episodes missing, would anyone else be intrigued by a audio Dad's Army reboot? (there was a radio series back in the 60's, I haven't listened to it but I think it was mostly adaptations of the TV episodes)

What's this Doctor Omega? was it a real show cross the pond, or just fiction from the worlds of Doctor who?

What's this Doctor Omega? was it a real show cross the pond, or just fiction from the worlds of Doctor who? It's a French science fiction novel from very early in the 20th century. Apparently there's some similarities to Doctor Who, and the original novel has been (mis?)translated to emphasise these similarities

(there was a radio series back in the 60's, I haven't listened to it but I think it was mostly adaptations of the TV episodes) When they did the recent drama about the making of the original series, some of those involved suggested remaking the lost episodes with their cast. The radio series adapted - sometimes loosely, and with coarser language (it's surprising to hear Wilson say "bloody hell", shocking to hear Mainwaring to exclaim "bastards!") - the tv scripts sort of simultaneously with the later parts of the tv show. As with the stage show, Walker was recast rather than written out.

Always up and ready if BF were able to acquire the rights to Quatermass.

Another one for Quatermass. How about Doomwatch as well? I haven't seen Doomwatch, so no views myself. (Not to worry, I've got the DVDs of the existing episodes, and they are near the front of the watching queue...)

Another one for Quatermass. How about Doomwatch as well? I haven't seen Doomwatch, so no views myself. I keep forgetting about Doomwatch, I really need to get round to seeing it at some point.
