comics have always been right in the heart of politics, from gun violence with Green Lantern/Green Arrow to Northstar bein the first openly gay super hero, and lots more before that. Remember Captain America makin fun of Hitler and the Nazi's as was every comic back at that time.

No, why should they?
Not that I like much of modern Marvel, I just don't see what the election of Donald Trump has to do with any storylines that Marvel have planned.

If anything they should expose Trump, not paint a cosy world to distract people.

If anything they should expose Trump, not paint a cosy world to distract people. Ive never noticed a cozy world in Marvel comics, all the superheroes have always had their share of personal problems, that's what made Marvel to start with...But, expose Trump for?

Indeed, but I was responding to the OP. As to your question, as you know, you and I have very different world views, so why bother asking?

Sorry, I don't understand the connection. Every Marvel comic character has always had their own personal demons to deal with along with all the villains to deal with, and their own personal politics that directly affect each character...I don't think Marvel should go out of its way to bring Trump into the comics, but they shouldn't change any of their storylines due to Trump's election either...Politics has always been in comics, but it was in political discussions(like gun control, super hero registration and the such), and except for Hitler, I don't know of any personal attacks on anyone else living or dead, and the Hitler stuff was during WWII and right after...

I was just interested, I don't see how makin fun of the duly elected President of the United States of America, from a legitimate comic book company, like a Marvel, DC, Dark Horse etc. does the company any good, plus it might help sales for a month, but could hurt the bottom line in the long run...I know there will be comic books out there that will put out stuff makin fun of Trump, they did of Obama, and every President before him, but that's just mostly junk books who are lookin to turn a quick profit. I didn't care for it with Obama, Bush or Clinton(when I owned a shop or 3, and actually had a few orders for the books). I got to look thru some of the Clinton books, and they were really junk...Bad artwork and bad taste in jokes, black and white, and all pure stupidity. But, I had loyal customers who ordered em, and they really weren't as bad as some of the adult comics from back in the 90's...Now I do expect some of the companies will have some of their big heroes refer to the President, and may even put out a special cover, like with the Obama Spider-man cover, but if I remember the story right, they did right by Obama in the story, been awhile...

Nah. Black Panther was still around when the real life Black Panther Party were rolling around, don't let real life extremism get in the way of telling a good tale. Politics fade, stories are forever.

Is T'challa still around, and are he and Ororo still married? I don't keep up how I used to.

Hey everyone,
Should Marvel drop it's darker storylines in light of Trump? One thing about this, If there were any way to bring back the Dark Avengers, that could be a tremendous storyline with Trump in it! But with Ares and Sentry dead, no chance of that I guess.

I haven't the faintest idea anymore, I dropped off a while ago when I started getting into Alan Moore's stories, I really need to get back to it.

Not at all. In fact, this is prime time for satire and topical stories. POTUS's Muslim band would be prime to be used for a plot in the Miss Marvel series and some heavy Juvenalian satire on Trump in Squirrel Girl would be very welcome. In fact, Kamala Khan is just about to launch into A-lister and there's no better time. Let the character already planned to be the new Peter Parker start a conversation.
