Reading the spin-off thread gave me an idea. Ben Miller and Kris Marshall star as two detectives kicked out of the force after evidence was faked against them. They take up the role of private eyes to support themselves as they work to clear their names, in "Death Out Of Paradise". Oh, God. Just thought of one. A sequel to "Sherlock" where, after the detective dies (again), his money is used to endow a school of detection. Unfortunately, it's been built on top of an escape tunnel leading from a prison. Every week the plucky teen heroes leave off arguing and having sex and moping to defeat another baddie who's sneaked out of gaol through the tunnel and into the school. We'll call it "College". I reckon it'd be a BIG success. Put it on BBC3 Online. Clearly more watch BBC's online services than the channels themselves!

I don't need to pitch a awful sequel, Hollywood have been done a fine job pitching atrocious sequels for years.

Continuance of the Dominators
The Doctor meets old foes for a ten episode sequel, but like most sequels it won't be nearly as exciting or memorable as the original story.
(Proposal was dropped after research found that, of the two, viewers did indeed prefer 25 minutes of the test card after the football results.)

Michael Collins 2.
(Sadly this was suggested to Neil Jordan by some execs, despite him pointing out that the footage of Collins' funeral at the end of the film was actual footage of the actual funeral)

Trump v. Clinton, 2020
(Don't intend it to get political...just tongue-in-cheek)

That would be wonderful. Sadly Ken Loach is too old and doesn't go for biopics anyway.

He did the Jimmy Gralton film a couple of years ago so a biopic isn't out the question though, yeah, he's not done many. He may be 80 but I, Daniel Blake has just been his biggest hit at the box office ever, won the Palme D'or and had a massive cultural impact. He's arguably at his peak

Well apparently Jaws:Resurgence on the way, God i hope this isn't true, i can see it now we'll get a CGI shark & quotes from the original film & it'll star Channing Tatum as Mike Brodys son with Samuel L.Jackson as Quint.
You'll never top Spielbergs original so leave it alone.

So they're not really slaughtering any sacred cows with this given the franchise is already populated with crap sequels. If there was only that first one, I'd be more inclined to be against a new one but the well was poisoned so long ago.
