Well, to understand this is to know that EVERY BLOODY THING on TV in Germany is dubbed. One reason why the Dutch or the Danes can speak English better than the Germans is that they all watch the TV series in the original English with subtitles while in Germany there is a real industry and expecially trained actors who do nothing but dubbing. For me, this was the most normal thing in the world, but then I come to NZ and realize that other countries do not do that and when I watch a foreign movie, it will be original language with subtitles.
Now that my english is good, I prefer watching the original. I even go to the specialist cinemas where you can watch the original (normal cinemas all show dubbed movies). I now know the original voices of the actors, and it really grates with me when I hear the dubbing. Now I really feel it sounds "wrong".
Back to the German version of the 10DA- BIG problem- the actor who did the dubbing for David Tennant died a couple of years ago in a car crash. They now have a new actor, but people do not really like David Tennants "new voice". This is one of the reasons that the German version of the 10DA was not a total success to say the least. Not that I was ever tempted by it at all- I never have watched Doctor Who in German and honestly see no reason why I should. I only have the English DVDs at home (which have the added bonus that they are cheaper than the German ones because you also have to pay the German actors doing the dubbing).

Does anyone know whether the alternate covers are available anywhere for non-cd users?

well enjoyed my relisten of all these tales it does what it says on the Tin -action and adventure with David and Billie.Defintely need more of them. A great bit of lockdown reading of the sleeve notes which I do miss inside the CD versions. All very good stories usual Bf standard and it’s good to add more TARDIS teams...won’t be long till we have 4 with Nerys am actually looking forward to that but I would also have loved 10 with Claire Rushbrook from The Satan Pit in a sequel I mean where do you take a character who quite possibly has came into fisticuffs with Satan himself
