I also want a Seventh Doctor and Brewster trilogy. I like the idea. Seven and Brewster are closer in personality than Five or Six and Brewster. It'd be interesting to see them together, if only because the Seventh Doctor would pre-empt Brewster nicking things from the TARDIS by putting harmless and useless objects in his way.

Rather like Ace. "give me some of that Nitro Nine that you're not carrying" indeed. Brewter's reaction to finding out he'd been used would be interesting, and whether he'd let it go or trying to subvert the Doctor's plans. The Seventh Doctor's schemes usually have a spanner in there somewhere he didn't initially plan for. Brewster and the Monk would be a brilliant pairing, because for once Brewster has the moral high ground! Or simply Brewster and one of the more indignant companions like Tegan ("oh, it's like Turlough all over again") or Lucie ("Listen 'ere, if catch you nicking me mp3" "-What's that then? A disease?").

I'm off to relisten to Raine, just to refresh. If a character as superfluous as Frobisher (ooh, heresy to some!) can get demands for more stories then a genuine companion should too.

What about a trilogy of main range stories which appear to have Raine as the companion but it turns out to have been Frobisher shape shifting all along.

I'd like to hear more of Raine, in a story or set of stories with no other returning characters or monsters beyond her and the Seventh Doctor.
I think the two companions most in need of rehabilitation are C'rizz and Will Arrowsmith. C'rizz did work, but only sporadically and in individual stories rather than as a character arc. Will was constrained by the arc he was in (the Persuasion machine storyline) and some poor writing by Alan Barnes in Daleks Among Us. Matt Fitton did a good job with Will in Starlight Robbery considering his first and last stories.
Jonathan Morris was easily the best writer for Brewster. Not suprising, since he created the character and wrote both the first and last stories (Haunting of TB and A Perfect World) in his initial set of stories. The main problem in the Sixth Doctor trilogy was that it didn't really explore the relationship with him and the Sixth Doctor. At least it had Evelyn though!

I would only want Brewster if he was with the right Doctor (as others have said, Seven) and in a story that fleshed him out. He had a lot of potential. I love The Haunting of Thomas Brewster and A Perfect World, I even really like The Crimes Of T.B. (although that might be due to D.I. Menzel, not anything else).
I never need to hear Will Arrowsmith ever again.

Eh, I could do without Frobisher or Brewster, especially the latter.

I guess I'm the "odd man out" who actually liked Frobisher, Arrowsmith and Brewster.

Isn't it about time we had more Raine Creevey? A proper companion and hardly used at all. There's a whole plethora of things that could be done with her and 7 and Ace, possibly seguing into her and 7 and Ace and Benny, who knows? Plus for my money more Beth Chalmers in a continuous role is a good thing. im listening to doom coalition 3 and i'm thinking once again beth chalmers deserves some really great spotlights , some great adventures i think she has a wonderful voice and i'm always happy to hear it also unit dominion is one the best things big finish has done so big finish please bring on the rain

I don't need characters to be likable to enjoy their role in a story. Quite. Or the story. For example, "The Beautiful and the Damned". By the end I utterly despised one of the main characters, but that spoke to the author's skill. However, we've heard a lot from Brewster already and I'm not sure I want to go through many more episodes wanting someone to throttle the lad.

Brewster was one of those characters who I really enjoyed in their debut story, yet there seemed to be no warming to him after that. Raine's a bit of a different story in that she's certainly got her charms, but her character is almost always irrelevant to the proceedings. She gets overshadowed by Ace in the Lost Stories and by Klein in UNIT: Dominion, leaving her with very little independence when really she'd make an excellent Charlie Croker. A feminine dandy.
