neurosie.github.io/randomoid-selectotron/If you want to stumble across a random Big Finish release (warning: there is a chance you will find a Who's Round). Created by Hannah Newman (apologies if I spelled the surname wrong) There's a new gif btw, with Bellal warning Sarah "that way leads to Ran". It was either this or Bacon Finish. Take Ran for a whirl and share what you got, maybe saying a little something, non-spoilery of course, about the story, the writer, any of the actors in it.

And I got Dark Shadows: Blood Dance. This story was the first audio Lisa Richards, who played Sabrina Stuart in the original series, appears in even if she's playing an original character in this story. Sabrina Stuart is credited as Sabrina Jennings when Lisa Richards reprises the role in the audios starting from The Enemy Within.

I got Mastermind, which stars Geoffrey Beevers, Daphne Ashbrook and Yee Jee Tso and was directed by Ken Bently.

The Curse of the Daleks. A personal favourite and probably the best adaptation of the three stageplays, Michael Praed does very well in the starring role of Ladiver and David Whitaker understands the Daleks in a way I don't think we'd really see until Nick Briggs, outside of Ben Aaronovitch's Remembrance of the Daleks novelisation. You can just feel Whitaker's TV21 comic portrayal of them eke out in all their devious glory, these are creatures to be feared for their ruthless intellect, not just their guns.

I absolutely love Ran (Who's Round and all) and use it all the time when I don't know what to listen to. As for what I got: Still the best anthology release. Autumn is an utterly wonderful pick me up when you think that traveling in the TARDIS would be all doom and gloom.

And lo and behold, look what Ran pumped out for me! Needless to say I don't have much to say about it.

Needless to say I don't have much to say about it. That's a first! But it's Dalek Empire, so you know it's gonna be good.

Having spun Ran again I get: Lennox Greaves (Mr Shaughnessy) and Sue Wallace (Mrs Baddeley) would later appear together in the 2010 Fifth Doctor audio The Whispering Forest. The only plums to be found there are the plum crazy cleanliness fanatics!

Yeah that is a bit of a Marmite release all right. Even at Stevo Towers we are divided... I think The Holy Terror is great, yet my son thinks it's a pile of turd! It happens.

Took a spin, got The Renaissance Man. I found this little middle section of releases for Tom's first season to be a couple genuinely fun and enjoyable stories. The Renaissance Man is a quick story that makes for easy listening if you have an hour to spare.

My luck with Ran is not so good, Ran seems to usually pick Jago & Litefoot (95% of which I've listened to fairly recently) or Toby Hadoke, whose podcasts I haven't got to yet although a marathon is coming someday. Today's pick involves another dilemma, being Main Range 232 which isn't due out until November. :-)

Got Torchwood: Moving Target by Guy Adams, which I have very fond memories as I had marathoned the 2nd series on vacation back during Christmas. Very well told and a lot of classic Torchwood humour.

Hah, well if you had a TARDIS you might be able to get around that one. I often get Toby Hadoke when I consult Ran as well. The difference is, I actually HAVE listened to all of them already

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Got a good one! This was the first Main Range release since 2002's The Rapture to feature the Seventh Doctor and Ace, but not Hex.

Today's Ran pick combines the Jago & Litefoot trend with the tendency toward the selection of unreleased items, with
Short Trips 7.03 The Jago & Litefoot Reunion Act 1. :-)

I was actually about to listen to it anyway since it's next up in our Dark Shadows listen-through, but at least Ran is showing great improvement. www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/32
