Many stories are part of a larger arc, tie into a backstory or feature returning characters. On the product pages the only times these are indicated is when they are direct two-release stories (which are now indicated after much complaint over on Gallifrey Base and the old forum). It would be very useful to include on the product page what previous stories are important in terms of continuity, and how important they are. For example the story on sale to mark the broadcast of Girl Who Lived is Gods and Monsters, which relies heavily on at least two trilogies worth of build-up, and is very unfriendly to new listeners (imagine going into a season finale of Buffy with that being your first exposure to that season and having no prior knowledge from that season, that's how lost you'd be, wondering who these characters are and what's going on). A list of the stories that help to understand would be enormously useful, or at least prevent people from wandering into the continuity fest unawares.
The same thing could also recommend other stories from that one. Robophobia could include "the character of Liv Chenka returns in Dark Eyes 2 with the Eighth Doctor" or The Seeds of War might say "the Doctor first encountered the Eminence in Destroy the Infinite and later encounters it in Dark Eyes 2". Some trilogies that have a CC set during them can use this space to advertise the fact. How many of you knew that the Key 2 Time, Sixth Doctor and Jamie and Elder Gods (Seventh Doctor 2012) trilogies each have a Companion Chronicle as part of the story? City of Spires: "This story leads into the story Night's Black Agents, which in turn leads into The Wreck of the Titan". The Judgement of Isskar: "For the character of Zara, her story begins in The Prisoner's Dilemma". The Companion Chronicle trilogies can say what the other stories are (the story continues in The Cold Equations, first part/part two/final part of a trilogy etc).
When there are more and more new customers, the website needs to be user-friendly. That is one reason the Doctor Who range collects all stories from each Doctor and Dark Shadows has bundles for each story arc.
