Forty years ago this weekend, Mr Henry Gordon Jago met Professor George Litefoot... and we're celebrating this Doctor Who moment with a weekend of special offers...
Created by regarded Doctor Who writer Robert Holmes, the double-act of Jago (Christopher Benjamin) & Litefoot (Trevor Baxter) may only have shared a couple of episodes of the classic Doctor Who - The Talons of Weng-Chiang, but it was a partnership that fired imaginations - and which Big Finish were eventually able to renew when the gentlemen returned for Doctor Who - The Companion Chronicles: The Mahogany Murderers in 2009 (a title which this weekend is available for £2.99 on Download and £5 on CD).
Since then the Jago & Litefoot range has seen the release of twelve boxed sets, and a number of other assorted Doctor Who adventures for the Infernal Investigators, and all this weekend it's our delight to announce special offer prices on them:
The first set - Jago & Litefoot Series 1 - is just £10 on Download and £15 on CD, while the following nine series are each £20 on Download and £22 on CD, with Series 11 and Series 12 priced at £25 and £30 respectively.
For this weekend, their meeting with the Sontaran Strax (Dan Starkey) from the new series of Doctor Who - Jago & Litefoot & Strax - The Haunting is £10 and £12 respectively, and two voyages with the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker) are each £2.99 and £5.00. Their part in The Worlds of Doctor Who ensures a special offer price for this collectible set of £20 and £25, while their first encounter with the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) since the Talons of Weng-Chiang, Doctor Who - Justice of Jalxar is £2.99 and £5.00. You can also get our interview with Benjamin & Baxter for the same price.
Two Jago & Litefoot Anniversary Bundles have been set up with all our Jago & Litefoot releases gathered together, for £320 on Download and £360 on CD. These special offers all end at mid-day (UK time) on Monday 27th March.
The most recent adventure for the Infernal Investigators was January's Doctor Who - The Fourth Doctor Adventures: The Beast of Kravenos. Still available for pre-order are Jago & Litefoot's two-part encounter with the Tenth Doctor in Doctor Who - Short Trips: The Jago & Litefoot Revival, and next month's Jago & Litefoot - Series 13

Picked up Series 8, 9 and 10.
Annoyed now that I didn't get Series 8 last year when the price was lower. Guess just like main range stories being £6, we are going to have to get used to box sets being a few pound above £20 rather than just £20 on the dot.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Up until a few minutes ago, I owned up to and including the two Voyage releases... I'm now entirely up to do date (barring The Beast of Kravenos, which I shall obtain later down the track in a Fourth Doctor bundle) on all the adventures of Mr Henry Gordon Jago and Professor George Litefoot, including a pre-order for the forthcoming Series 13.
Strange... my wallet feels as though it is floating...

Not too interested in exploring the spinoffs (and I wouldn't have room for J+L boxsets as well as the ranges I follow) but I liked The Mahogany Murders, tempted to get the two Voyage episodes and TJOJ...

Getting the Second to fill a gap, and 11 for The Master. Torn on getting another box, or The Tenth Doctor Adventures for the 10% off. Any recommendations? Do I need any other boxes to enjoy Series 11?

Probably definitely getting the CC and Series 1 and 3
Question
Can Series 7 be enjoyed as a standalone or is Series 2, 8 or 9 better options?

Picked up Series 07 and I'm considering getting Series 08 as well. Might have to end up getting it at full price, though - money doesn't grow on trees, unfortunately...

I'm still amazed about Jago & Litefoot: Series 1 being offered at £6 during its recent flash day sale. In these more expensive times, I didn't think I would ever see a 4CD Big Finish box set priced so low!

Every series is self-contained to a certain extent; the cliffhanger to one-series generally introduces the main theme for the one that follows, but even then it's usually reprised. However, of the series you mention, 8 is the most standalone as it doesn't have a running theme at all. Two is pretty much self-contained. Nine is self-contained, but atypical as it follows our heroes on the world cruise they set off on at the end of the previous series. Seven requires some knowledge from the final story of series 6 to explain why J&L are on the run, so that might not be the best one to start with.

Seven requires some knowledge from the final story of series 6 to explain why J&L are on the run, so that might not be the best one to start with. The only problem with further delaying to listen to Series 7 is that you would be missing out on enjoying the marvelous Murder at Moorsey Manor.

I need series 5 & 6, but they're not on sale. I listened to series 7 without listening to series 6 and enjoyed it very much. I wondered at first why they were on the run, but I was still able to enjoy the story.

Help please! There are 12 series to date and I have only the first, picked up for next to nothing in the recent Flash Sale. I would now very much like to say 'I'll take the lot', but sadly that's not on the financial cards, so: Which are the very, very best two or three J&L series, please. (I'm not too concerned about needing series X to make sense of series Y, unless the continuity is major; otherwise I'm happy to do a quick bit of background reading to know the setup.) I might mention that any Doctor presence would get bonus marks and Sixth Doctor presence a double bonus (at least), so am I right to be well disposed towards Series 4 for starters? Thanks in advance
