I've no idea if there's truth to it or not but she's great. On the thread about Ant and Dec when Timelord007 mentioned the dearth of good television in recent years, I cited Fleabag as one of the best shows of 2016 and she's not only the star but she wrote it all too. I'd recommend it to anyone - I haven't enjoyed a black comedy so much since Nighty Night which is high praise as that's one of my favourite shows ever. Even if she doesn't get the gig - watch Fleabag! Crashing, her other show as writer-star of 2016, wasn't as good but was solid. Damien Molony, who was linked last week to the Who job, is in that with her. She's going to be in the Han Solo picture which, if you watch Fleabag and her character, you'd struggle to believe so she'll get that genre cred, as though its a prerequisite, later in the year too. I think both Nick and Peter Davison have recommended the show on the BF podcast.

That's where the Police Officer comes in, i was gonna have her be Adam's Girlfriend and that's why she stumbles across it all. It's either that or make her Mum be the victim in the pre-credits sequence A solid plan, I can see either working rather well. Fine you have have a co-write credit lol

Well what i have in my head is a rather interesting group, but yeah, they would also be something i would have returning at some point as well. The two-parter would be called; Part one: Law of the Hunt and Part Two: Stewart's Brigade

Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar are pretty much equal top for me right now though I think Dunbar's age will, sadly, count against him following Capaldi. I'd also love Chiwitel Ejifor still but just can't see him going back to BBC Drama unless its a miniseries with limited eps and no long term commitment.

For some reason, I think the next Doctor isn't in the odds right now. But when he or she gets cast we'll go: "Oh yeah, that makes a ton of sense". Dunno, really. In any other case it could be Pheobe Waller Bridge or Kris Marshall. However, incient and things they have said make me think otherwise (the "reason" why Marshall left "Death In Paradise" and the fact that Waller-Bridge is a key role in a film that will make her millions and potentially get her on the American A-List). Naralie Dormer and Harewood have already got consistent roles in incredibly well-known shows, which probably make them tons and tons of money. Also, I'd say they're not quite right. some goes for Michaela Coel and Rankin, even though they'd sort of make sense. I'd also suggest it's likely to be a black star due to BBC quotas (which I still think punish and discriminate white male actors in the profession). But it'll probably be someone vaguely well-known and about thirty-odd.

Michaela Coel won't get it. A black and female Doctor would be too much change at once.

Michaela Coel won't get it. A black and female Doctor would be too much change at once. Not even that. Just as an actress doesn't seem right. Anyway, don't care what gender or race she/he is: just a good actor/actress. However, I'd say, for the public's sake, a male actor might work better and nobody'd care what race they were.

I think either change could work, but not all at once at the same time. That's too big a risk.
