Thought The Dark Universe might be making an appearance today... I'm off work tomorrow so a late night listening session with Dark Universe tonight would have gone down very nicely ...

Nor me. I suppose all other releases have to make way for Queen Vic
Maybe the MR and the 4DAs next week and Something Else tomorrow? Captain John perhaps if this is "TW week" now?

Correct me if I am wrong... in the past months, it was almost always the things being released that were presented and teased in the Podcast. This weeks podcast was about Torchwood. So my guess would be Torchwood releases this week.
So maybe it is that they now presenting the things in the podcast that are released the upcoming week?

That makes perfect sense. I really should listen to the podcast more but my backlog is always calling to me. And sooner or later DU tells me about the good bits of the podcast that I missed anyway!

Not sure, thought they recorded 2 or 3 podcasts episodes at a time.

I think Nick actually said in the podcast it was out this week?

4DAs will probably be the last week of the month, with part 2 coming out on the first week of February.

Next week's series 12 sale is all about the Fourth Doctor. I guess it's not that surprising if we get series 9 next week then ?

I'm trying to think of a month where a Torchwood release came out before a Doctor Who one and I'm coming up empty.

If we're talking about the Main Range, Serenity came out before Memories of a Tyrant did, last July. Yes it did. BF have been changing the schedules up. Short Trips being released both at the end and start of months. Same with Torchwood. Classic Who stuff isn't necessarily the middle week of the month (though they're still almost always in the same week. Who can forget November's 5 releases week!)

So that means the Podcast might be indeed the most reliable source to estimate what is released? Maybe that is a way of making more people listening to the podcast?

I’m thinking today will be sins of captain John. As much as I want Dark Universe, today being the 12th anniversary of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang it’s to good to pass up on that timing.
That and it would mean Dark Universe follows the classic Big Finish Rule. The more you want a release, the later in the month it’s released.
