Out of curiosity, how come you don’t like to download?
I am exactly the same. 100% prefer cd/physical product. But having said that if I buy direct from BF I do download as well for 1 of my HDD's. Obviously I can't get the download when I buy from Book Depository.
To me, now this isn't to start an argument, in my opinon, download only for me feels like "cheating" per se. No physical product to look at and hold etc. Same with books and dvds/blurays etc.
Physical product in my world is still King Fair enough 😉 I usually only download because I live in a house where sound carries to every room and I don’t own a CD player that has headphones, so the only way I can privately listen to BF is by download. I like physical media too though😊

Physical product in my world is still King As a collector, I completely get where you're coming from. But as a listener and customer, and an international one at that, I can also say I have not actually "used" one of the CD's I have in literal years (most of them I haven't used once), and things like the sales are a bit pointless once you add the shipping and per order tax for the physical product. So, as much as it pains me, I've found myself buying more and more digital only in recent years. Plus, some ranges like the Short Trips and the originals are download only to start with, so what are you gonna do?

I don't listen to Short Trips myself so I guess that solves that LOL.. If I did, I would just burn them to CD.

Major events shape and change the world, so if having to listen to Big Finish audios digitally before listening in a CD player is the biggest inconvenience we have to suffer with while living through a global pandemic, well, that doesn’t strike me as a huge price to pay. Safety first and always.

Safety first and always. Yup, only thing u have to do is wait a few months (?) for the package to arrive.

I just feel sorry for the poor postmen who will have to deliver the mountains of CDs due for delivery once this crisis has passed.
Joking aside, this is a sensible decision by Big Finish and good to hear they’ll keep paying the warehouse staff during this crisis.

Fantastic to read that Big Finish will be paying their warehouse staff whilst at home. Kudos to them. Are they paying them out of their own pocket or is it the 80% from the government?

I think the cover's also been updated. I'm certain it used have Remembrance-era Daleks, not New Series ones.

Physical product in my world is still King I prefer the physical product as well, but the shipping costs made it too expensive for the most part. My 5-year main range subscription has just run out (1 left to arrive). So, I may be all digital from now on.

Physical product in my world is still King I've come to the conclusion that physical product just isn't worth it in my eyes. Between the amount of plastic that gets used vs. the actual use that plastic sees, the amount of storage space required, not even having a disc drive to use the CDs, and having to pay anywhere from twice to three times as much for nearly the exact same product, I can't justify it.

However, there are a few releases I am glad I made the decision getting them in physical form- for example Dark Eyes and The Last Adventure which have awesome exclusive art inside and are just really gorgeous. Otherwise, I am with you, I also do not have a lot of space and the money saved on physical can be spend on more downloads... And there is plenty more space on my Terabyte external hard drive...

I'm usually Team Physical Media, but for whatever reason audio - drama, books, music - is one of two exceptions. I don't know why. I think it's because Napster was the big thing when I was old enough to take an interest in music, so the idea that audio products come in an intangible format isn't weird to me like it is for visual media. And hey, at least I switched to actually paying for things once I was old enough to realize what I was doing.
Big Finish specifically, the digital option is pure cost saving since I'm international and those fees add up. Amusingly, this news comes just as I was about to order a CD copy of Excelis Decays.
The other exception is comics, for those curious. Enjoy them, but paying the asking price for a pamphlet's worth of reading material isn't so great.

Just bought this as a little treat. I love Who-era Jack and based on the past releases I think it's going to be a blast

The correct decision. Though it will be odd not listening to any new BF for a few weeks/months. No, I still won't download. Out of curiosity, how come you don’t like to download? I just like to have something for my money and something to look out. I'm a simple chap.
