It's working for me, I am glad to be reminded there is more 10th Doctor on the way. I bought a Torchwood sub specifically so I'd be paid up when Absent Friends came out and really haven't been overjoyed at the news about that. Not ticked off at BF, though - more like at NC, BBC and cancel culture.

Announced Ages ago another oddly timed reminder almost "We know your ticked off but look what you could've lost" Regards mark687 Regards mark687 Could have lost? Given the fact the BBC Reported on the Postponement/Pulling straight away its possible they could've said "Pull it or we End your Licences". in the greater scheme of things, no matter personal feelings, its losing one individual VS losing a whole business model. Regards mark687

Regards mark687 I mean, presuming it was the BBC who requested it be pulled and it wasn't BF's initiatives or, perhaps most likely of all, a mutual agreement, I very much doubt they'd have resorted to hyperbolic threats of immediately ending all their licenses.

I not sure they were Very Quick to Report it, if it was mutual then BFs statement should've been as definite as the BBC's. Regards mark687

Don't forget.. that's how the official BF forum shut down.. Word "from above".. It's not a secret.. The BBC did not like the legitimate "hate speech" that was being spewed on that forum about everything Doctor who, they didn't have enough time as Moderators and Administrators to keep up with all that negativity, so the powers that be from BBC basically strongly advised BF to shut the forum down. It's fact, just reporting the news ma'am.

"Hate speech" is a bit strong, I didn't think the old Big Finish forums were that bad!!! Sure, online Doctor Who forums can get a bit toxic from time to time as Doctor Who is a very broad church, but compared to RADW in the good old days I actually thought the Big Finish forums were quite tame. I was very upset when BF shut them down.

If I remember correctly, there were also concerns expressed about some of the comments made, but I don't think "hate speech" was ever cited as contributing factor. I may be wrong, but I honestly didn't pay much attention to that, I was more surprised with the abruptness of the closure.

I was very upset when BF shut them down. There were personal/direct attacks naming specific staff and actors associated with the BBC. It only happened towards the very very end before the BBC put their official foot down. Sorry, I use " " around the word hate speech as that's my personal view. The intent either way was to spread their troll negativity around . :-)
