Finally, the first set was such a pleasant surprise that I've been dying to hear about the second series from Big Finish ever since.

Good to hear a second series has been commissioned. I think most of us suspected it was bound to happen sooner or later.

So if Jenny and Lady Christina have been commissioned a second series does that mean that Rose Tyler Dimension Cannon will get a second series? with the cryptic hint of Jo Joyner recording it might be possible

I think Billie Piper is probably a bit too busy at the moment to do another series.

Well if Lynda Moss was going to come back then its either for that or Missy Series 3 if it features the Matrix Data slice from Dark Water/ Death in Heaven

Could easily see her bumping into Vienna or some other character aside from the Doctor. Hell, maybe Jo Joyner is playing a distant ancestor of Lynda in a Paternoster Gang set? It’s all conjecture at this point but certainly anythings possible.

If any of you are thinking of using the opportunity of this discount to try out Susan’s War then I’d also recommend you try out All Hands on Deck as well. Makes for an excellent pilot I think for the boxset.

I've wanted the 1st Dr CC vol.2 for a while, so the time has come! Which is weird, because Carole Ann Ford didn't even contribute to that set! Grab it quickly before the BF team realises the mistake and takes it out of the sale

Grab it quickly before the BF team realises the mistake and takes it out of the sale I highly recommend Across the Darkened City by David Bartlett from that volume. It's an unusual beast. A two-handed psychological thriller with Steven and a Dalek having to rely on one another to survive (without cheating the Dalek of its cunning or ruthlessness). Going into it without the wider context of the set, it felt almost like revisiting orphaned episodes from a wiped Hartnell serial. Great story.

Across the Darkened City is easily one of the best entries in the entire CC range. I'd also recommend the third volume for Daybreak. I think it had a bit of mixed reception on here, but Maureen O'Brien gives an absolutely phenomenal performance, and the story has the best use of silence in any audio drama I've ever heard (it's really quite heart-breaking).

A Small Semblance of Home is well worth £1.49. It’s actually a platform for Barbara rather than Susan, but it’s beautifully read by Carole Ann Ford, who taps into how magic and cosy those early adventures were.
