Well, speaking to my original post in this thread—yes, BF came through and gave us much to be grateful for. But shame on whoever wrote that Vortex article about the new Maggie & Quentin set and called it the adventures of “the witch and the immortal”. Confusing Maggie with Cassandra? They should have let Joe or David proofread the piece before going to press. Bad BF! By the way, hello from Paris where I’ve been to a con with the actors from the TV series ‘Versailles” which includes BF’s own Dorian Gray, Alexander Vlahos—who was perfectly lovely and extremely funny! The con is over, but my vacation continues! Au revoir! Hmm. Maggie must have been doing some reading about the occult when no one was looking. It's kind of a fun idea, Maggie becoming a witch. But I think she's more likely to go the direction of Doctor Von Goosewing than become a witch. She kind of went that direction in Bloodlust, though. (Yes, I watch Duckula, don't you?)

Big Finish did a lovely job with the Maggie and Quentin series. I know they are good about not rushing and delivering amazing audios when things work out. The actors, writers, producers, et al have many other obligations and that takes even more work and brilliance to make it all work and deliver a seemingly seamless product (especially when they have even snuck in tidbits from the original series to briefly revive unavailable actors and characters). Part of me was hoping we'd get a little teaser of something coming up at the end of Maggie and Quentin. However, I remember the early days of Dark Shadows with Big Finish and they surprised us with wonderful audios back then too, so I remain hopeful. That being said, I do like it when we are spoiled with a list of audios coming up.

Nick Briggs said how he intended to give Dark Shadows a really big push, publicity-wise. Whether the recent cut-price re-releases covers that, or it is yet to come, I don't know. But it does make me sad that DS on Big Finish seems to be trickling away ...

I hadn't realized they did the Welcome to Collinsport collection. While not the biggest Dark Shadows news for those of us who are already deep into the audios, it does suggest that maybe Big Finish expects to get a whole new group of Dark Shadows fan wanting to get into the series. It seems to build off the Collinsport drama rather than the Collinses (if you discount Carolyn) as there's little to no Barnabas, Quentin, Roger, or Elizabeth. These audios hardly have much time in Collinwood itself (I believe only Tainted Love has a few scenes in the house at Widow's Hill). Thinking of these choices could signal any future dramas, there are a few loose ends for future authors to tie up. I'm hopeful there are a few more dramas to come or at least Big Finish hasn't thrown in the towel entirely. New fans would certainly encourage things.

I only recently got into Dark Shadows I had surfed many years ago and found episodes online and I loved it.I skirted around buying them and then decided to get BloodLust and loved it much as I like the compilation download offer am busy collecting in no particular order the CDs ,nothing like a Cd coming through the mail.Does Big Finish love Dark Shadows yes I think they do and their recent sale of some of the range was a quick fix for me to get to know the storylines.I mean I got Kingdom of the Dead for I think 3 quid....Yes I love my Doctor Who but there’s something about the Dark Shadows world that draws you in .They have some very great writers.

Well they've apparently got people in studio recording Bloodline if that other post is anything to go by. Hopefully they get them to do a handful more anthology stories while they're there to tide us over some more while we wait

Am a patient man rather have quality, they have had plenty of time to perfect a storyline from what I have read.I have plenty of catching up to do.I sat in an airport last night waiting for a friends delayed flight and turned on Bloodlust for a few hours and really enjoyed it all over again.....But it’s is good to hear they have started on Bloodline even if it is years late.

To be fair, there was a bit of a long wait between The Rage Beneath and Kingdom of the Dead, and again between Kingdom of the Dead and Bloodlust with many memorable audios in between each. Nevertheless, I'm not a fan of waiting and am very happy to see that recording has begun. Now to wait for interviews and other teasers...
