While I love Big Finish, we have to face facts that their output was, is, and always will be commercial merchandising product. It’s more than that though, it’s still mostly wonderful and sometimes even meaningful stories. I don’t like to think too cynically about BF. The stories can be wonderful and meaningful, but that doesn't change the fact that Peter Capaldi's first question will still be "will kids have to pay to listen to it?"

I still think he may one day change his mind. He does narrate many audiobooks and people have to pay for those. It would be incredibly sad if we never had Peter Capaldi play 12 again, I get misty eyed just thinking about it.

Rather liked the Crimean War adventure that was in the first Twelfth Doctor Chronicles so I’d be keen to see what else they could do with the range. Just wondering what other characters from his era they could have make an appearance. Aside from maybe Michelle Gomez as Missy or Matt Lucas as Nardole. I hope that there won’t be 12th Doctor chronicles with Dudman as he doesn’t sound close to capaldi at all if anyone should do it it’s Christopher Thompson I mean Dudman does a great 11th Doctor and a decent 9 & 10th doctors

... The Lone Centurion and Dalek Universe Weren't going to have Music Suites but an E-mail presumably from Forum Member Lone Centurion reminded Nick of his comments regarding Music Suite DLs going forward (he'll try to make a point of doing ones for releases he dose the Music for) Benji also suggests if you like a composers Music check if they have a Soundcloud page as they put tracks and suites on them) ... Regards mark687 Yep, it was my e-mail. What's everyone's thoughts on here about music suites? Was Nick really only going to all that trouble for me?

Sorry, but I almost never listen to the music suites. There have only been a few exceptions to that for me. But I like the idea that they will be bonus content and not on the main discs. I don't like it when they are at the end of every track and I have to skip it to keep listening to the story.

A Real Shame as from the production notes i would have loved to have seen the Halloween undead version of The TV Movie would have been cool
Its a real shame that The TV Movie rights are now in limbo due to the company that bought Fox

I think even before that there was no chance of them ever being sorted out. Even if Fox had wanted to dig through the mountain of red tape that would be required to sort the rights out I doubt they had the inclination to do so.

Given I am download only, I really don't get why the music suites and interviews are often split up and put at the end of the first "disk". For the download files it really wouldn't create anymore work to move them to after the final episode. As it is, I go and do that when I download the file - I also delete the BF stinger they stick on just about every story, while I fully understand its purpose, it is still annoying.

Well, let's see... if you were 12 when the 12th Doctor debuted, you're probably working your way through college now and to loosely paraphrase Dark Shadows Bloodlust, Big Finish is better than beer? Don't worry, timegirl. We'll talk him into it somehow

Is the 'stinger' the bit we're Nick tells us we're listening to a Big Finish production? I get rid of that as well.
The music suites though - I generally love 'em. In fact, I've bunched a few together and stuck them into an MP3 collection folder and give it a play from time to time. You can't beat doing the housework to the strains of Jamie Robertson's Robophobia or Equilibrium by Richard Fox and Lauren Yason. I recommend it to anyone!

It's the only music suite that I listen to on a fairly regular basis. I love it.

Makes perfect sense when it is being aired on BBC or some other service, not really needed on the download - safe to say we all know who is behind the product by the time we are downloading for the site or using the app.

Ahhh but just imagine getting some of those other potential Eighth Doctors in...

Heck, the first season of the EDAs debuted there!
