I liked amazon too but once had to return a big finish product to them twice they sent the wrong thing they were very nice about it though so now i tend to get big finish from big finish and to hell with the wait for the physical product Generally prefer shopping from big finish to support them directly but some times i can’t justify it. Yes am fully understanding of it finance is finance and a bargain is a bargain.

LOL! Thanks for putting elkawho ’s and johnhurtdoctor ’s responses in juxtaposition for me! Truthfully, I didn’t buy it initially not only because it’s expensive, but because I think The Prisoner TV show was very visual. Yes the show's visuals were definitely a big part of it. The audio drama is 75% remakes of old episodes, which are inferior to the TV show & one story which has an interesting idea but a badly written version of John Drake number 6.

A fiver off is still a good deal.Or is that just me? Considering its £18 on amazon, not so much. On the flipside, volume 1 is a complete barging and it would be a stretch to find a better price. Also just £17.99 from Blackwells in Oxford via Abebooks. I do prefer to order direct from Big Finish but since I'm on the fence re buying this second release, and already have a backlog of audios waiting to listen to, I need something more tempting than £5 off. £20 and I'd probably have gone for it. I agree re volume 1 though. Discounting that from £40 to £25 is much more appealing, and comparable to the closest new price I can find elsewhere (Blackwells via AbeBooks again, £25.99). It's also the price I bought it at in a previous Big Finish sale!

As I said, I wasn’t particularly sold on it when it first came out, and the free sample offerings did not really change my mind. I may get it anyway. I also wonder if people’s impressions of the audio drama are dependent on whether they’ve watched the original show. My spouse and I were Prisoner fans from way back.

I am a fan of both, but enjoy both ,ones the tv series ones the audio.I do visualise Patrick though at times

Now, me, while I remember channel surfing and seeing images of a bouncing white ball in the mix, I never watched the show in USA syndicated reruns. My first real exposure was via Big Finish and it was only after that when I sourced the original programme and watched it. They both are excellent in their own ways. I'd be happy if this audio series kept going.
