How the Reaver storyline was resolved was a bit misconceived, but the TV series basically played them as 1940s/1950s western Indians, a random roving set of nasties to upset the best laid plans of the heroes. That's kind of the problem, though? Whedon could have played with the Wild West tropes, without retreading that ground. Not really, not when your Joss Whedon and what you do is take tired old cliches and make them all shiny. If they'd had more time on TV, we'd have gotten a more nuianced view of the Reaver to echo the evolving use of Indians in Westerns, all we got on TV was one poor sod broken by encountering Reavers, and a Reaver ship chasing the crew. Theres no evidence there they're not space zombies any more than they are space zombies. But the entire aeries is a homage to Westerns. the rogueush captain from the wrong side of a civil war. the last loyal soldier to that captain. the gruff lone gunman. the Madame. bar fights. sword fights. grey and grey morals. the government as distant foe. rich plantations and dirt farmers. and ... the random wild force of locals who are happy to raid settlements and scalp people.

We even got "cowboy goes to Regency England" after a fashion with Shindig. A story set around a futuristic plantation could have been interesting. Rip out the racial component and have the prejudice against the slave be instead someone who fought on the other side of Mal and Zoe's war as a foot soldier. Someone who believed in their cause as much as the Browncoats did.

almost human starring karl urban, Well seeing as Rebellion Productions are about to go into production for a Judge Dredd TV series, Judge Dredd: Mega City One, there's a good chance that Karl could reprise his role as Dredd as he expressed an interest in either another film or a television series.

But you already knew that, seeing that I've only just realised it was you that created a Dredd thread (hey, that rhymes!) here.

The Transformers "Beast...." series, it should have been a triology of Beast Wars, Beast Machines and "Transtech"

I really didn't like what I saw of Beast Machines, but one day, I will have to watch it for closure. I know Cheetor has some intresting developments and he was my favourite (and still as an adult, what is with fandoms and kid characters?).
I'd love it if Big Finish got the rights to do Beast Wars, but I'd doubt it'll ever happen. I can't see Hasbro be willing to let go of anything Transformers-related lightly price-wise.

BM was then shooting for the moon and coming up short because of a lot of little factors (interference from the network for example). I like to say it's them trying to do Babylon 5 - Grey versus Grey Morality, questions of loyalty demanded versus loyalty earnt, love, hope, dreams, fate, predestination, free will.... they failed, don't get me wrong. But they tried to do something different.

Millennium American Gothic Carnivale Space: Above and Beyond Deadwood Torchwood Oz
Sadly, Blake's 7's time has passed, and I have no interest in a reboot, and Babylon 5 has tragically lost way too many cast members already, or else they'd both be on my list, too.
Farscape and Firefly I'm a bit conflicted about, to be honest, given how both ended, and the characters that remain.
