It has been ages since the first release, and still no sign of a second two-disc adventure.
Anyone else still hoping for a follow-up?

I don't think anyone would complain, but in all honesty is there a need and are people really asking for it? Yours is the only voice asking for it that I have heard.

I'd prefer Jago & Litefoot & Paternoster myself Cheers Tony That would be better but it's unlikely to happen for a while with the Paternoster Gang rumoured to be getting a TV spin-off.

That is the only reason I can think of for not allowing Big Finish to create their own audio series. Hopefully Ian Atkins will be on the podcast soon and set out his plans, as the new producer, for Jago & Litefoot

I believe Moffat himself has the rights to the characters rather than the BBC (I could be wrong) so it might is just be a case of it's complex to arrange. I liked Jago & Litefoot & Strax so I'd be interested in a second one.
Tbh I think the opportunity for a Paternoster Gang spin-off on TV may have past. With Moffat going and the characters not having been on TV in two years I suspect the time has past.

"I would strongly support a second operation with covering fire of online resources from a human credit card. All human scum who delay such a glorious Sontaran triumph will be obliterated!"
"Steady on old chap, these are our friends!"
"Yes, no need for bellicose battlefield banter! A pie and a pint should calm you down - lead the way, Professor!"

I've been biting my tongue in replying to this one but I'll let loose a little now.
I really do like Mister Jago and Professor Litefoot, as well as (whatever title he might have) Strax... both the characters, and the actors! So I am going to buy any BF title featuring any of them! But am I lobbying for or expecting another JL&S release? No, not really and if it happens I expect parts of it to be a bit of a retread. However if that expanded to Paternoster, definitely a retread! But I'll buy any of them, for sure. The thing I would most dearly love to see is the reverse of this... Benjamin and Baxter playing J&L on the tele again, alas... time/age prevents this without a re-cast, which I suspect I would be disappointed by it if that were to occur, having had so many wonderful hours with the B-Boys.

I don't see why it would have to be a retread. They could have them in a situation where Strax's approach potentially puts them in danger. Something that causes Strax to question himself, and hints that he is unlike the other Sontarans in that his mindset could possibly change.

I think lots of things could be done with Jago & Litefoot & Strax without it being a retread.

I think lots of things could be done with Jago & Litefoot & Strax without it being a retread. Yeah, to me the trio of Jago, Litefoot and Strax are like a Doctor Who take on the Fantastic Four, only Victorian investigating instead of all the space/dimension travel.

I'd be up for anything with Jago and Litefoot or Strax, though I'd personally prefer if Big Finish managed to convince Moffat/the BBC to do a full Paternoster Gang/Jago and Litefoot crossover. Showing the contrast between the two terrific teams of Victorian investigators of infernal incidents would be a fun story.

I understand where you all are coming from and BF would certainly try to not let it go into "retread" territory but I think at least a little of it is unavoidable. But I'll certainly buy and listen to it!

I enjoyed Jago & Litefoot & Strax but I honestly don't know that I need another one. I'd buy it but I don't think Jago & Litefoot needs anything else besides Jago, Litefoot, Ellie and Quick to be something I would want to listen to. A little Strax goes a long way for me.

With Moffat going and the characters not having been on TV in two years I suspect the time has past. Yes, it's been years since they were last seen - and, frankly, the relationship between Madam Vastra and Jenny looked on the rocks in that episode. (I'm not altogether sure they're suitable for a spinoff anyway, especially not for CBBC as many have suggested. The manner in which Vastra treats Jenny is rather cruel, I've always felt. 'You're my wife but I have to disguise you as a servant.... but I tell everybody you're my wife anyway, so why do I need to pretend you're a servant? Because it's convenient to me for you to fetch and carry and cook and clean. Hop to it!"

With Lady Vastra appearing in the second volume of The Churchill Diaries, I think it's a matter of time before a Paternoster gang team up!

I don't think anyone would complain, but in all honesty is there a need and are people really asking for it? Yours is the only voice asking for it that I have heard. The demand is there. Is that not just asking 'what is your favourite'? it doesn't necessarily follow that means more of it is wanted. There are movies and TV shows I love that I absolutely do not want a sequel to. And how many people voted in this poll? Less than 20% of that number chose JL&S...
