I think it would have been hilarious had the trailer ended with "I am the Master and you will pre-order" Followed by "Big Finish, We Love Your Money" lmao They love our money but deliver unlike so many others

I too am sad we didn't get to listen to a War Doctor versus War Master box set but am happy to have this. You can never have enough world class actors headlining your series and Jacobi is certainly in that arena. Ordered it right away and it didn't take me several hours to do so like ordering the 10th Doctor & Rose box set did. I do think there's a possibility that Jacobi could now crop up in the McGann Time War sets. The narrative in the TV series suggested the Master fled the war relatively early and the War Doctor didn't come on the scene until relatively late.

Again, they'll need to address why Ten didn't recognise him if he met him earlier.

Then at some point he regenerates into Jacobi

Then at some point he regenerates into Jacobi Well a child incarnation of the Master regenerates into Jacobi in an 11th Doctor Titan Comic, and if Big Finish collaborate with Titan on Doctor Who as they do on Torchwood then that regeneration would be unlikely.

This was a very easy preorder for me as well. Very, very excited to see who's writing for this - though, I'm at the point where I say that about practically any Big Finisn writer, honestly! I really hope this isn't the only set we have with him as well. There are so many things to explore with the Master's character when the Doctor's not around. From the limited synopsis of the stories we have it looks like they have left themselves room for more adventures...so we can but hope.

Yeah. That was indefensible nonsense though, even more so than the Delgado regen in DWM.

Wait. That actually happened? A friend told me and I thought she was pulling my leg. That's... *dig* *dig* *dig* Oh. That's from the Eleventh Doctor's run. The one with Daak that didn't quite work because it didn't really understand the show. Suddenly it makes sense. The more I find out about it, the more I can see that run going the way of The World Shapers...

I don't think a child Time Lord incarnation is inherently a bad idea, but why would the Master tolerate being in such a state, and especially in the midst of a Time War?

Nobody suspects a child to be villainous. Easy way to conduct evil deeds.

Yeah but at the time he's in this body he's fighting against the Daleks in the Time War, who can recognise him as a Time Lord anyway.
