Really enjoyed this box set .. but one issue
Will we ever be party to Eight's refusal to come on board and fight? It seems to take place off-screen between episodes 1 and 2 of this box set and then all the Time war stuff featuring McGann is set after he has refused to fight. If drama is about conflict, then this seems like an opportunity for some great drama as the Doctor refuses to help his former friends ... so why is it all happening off-screen?

The Short Trip Museum Peace might be interpreted as part of his decision-making.

Maybe we'll see that during his adventures with Sheena, whenever we get those?

I noticed at the end of the last story that Miles Richardson read out the names of the authors and cast members. Is this a new thing Big Finish are doing with releases? Having the cast and writers mentioned at the end? This box set is my most recent purchase, so I don't know if it's something they've started doing regularly, in the same vein as the "You're listening to a Big Finish production" ident before stories.

Yeah those two things are something they’re doing on all new releases now. Started a few months ago.

Exactly they've been doing it on releases since the end of last year.

I noticed at the end of the last story that Miles Richardson read out the names of the authors and cast members. Actually, it's Guy Adams - but nice to know we can recast if Miles is ever unavailable

I listened to this pretty much all in one go. Loved all the stories and hope they will continue. Really wondering where everyone's stories will go next. And yes, Narvin cannot be killed off ever. (Not too worried about Brax being killed up, he has a habit of popping up again and again where you least expect him. ) All my favorite characters: Romana II, Leela, Narvin, Brax, Ace. Would be fun if Ollistra could be brought into these stories at some point.

Since when was Leela able to pilot a Tardis? Wouldn’t her using a time ring make more sense? In fact the whole last quarter of the first story didn’t sit right with me. Surely Leela has been living on Gallifrey long enough to have had time to be taught. As far as I can remember, this is the first time Leela has been portrayed as piloting a TARDIS.

Been doing an extended re-listen of this over the last few days... (Tagged for length rather than content) GTW: Celestial Intervention DWST: Museum Peace DWST: All Hands on Deck GTW: Soldier Obscura War Master: Beneath the Viscoid GTW: The Devil You Know War Master: The Good Master War Master: The Sky Man War Master: The Heavenly Paradigm GTW: Desperate Measures CDNM: The Sontaran Ordeal CDNM: Day of the Vashta Nerada DWST: A Heart on Both Sides The Time War 1: The Starship of Theseus The Time War 1: Echoes of War The Time War 1: The Conscript The Time War 1: One Life What I’ve been most surprised by on revisiting this is how much more leisurely it plays out than I remember from when I blazed through on release days. Interspersing the titles in this way makes the whole story feel like it’s playing out over months or even years, whereas (to pick one example) the big ending of GTW elicited a sort of ‘wow, already?’ reaction when I just burned through that set in isolation originally.

I guess that reflects the nature of the Time War itself, after all Romana states in Desperate Measures that it's only been a few months from Gallifrey's perspective since it began but already there has been centuries worth of fighting.

It’s delightfully non-linear and subjective, which is exactly how it should be. Personally, I interpreted the War Master series taking place much later on in the Time War, with him travelling back to the Time War’s earlier days (in a linear sense) to assist in Gallifrey: Time War.
