My gut feeling is that we won't hear anything else on this until closer to (or after) the first Eight/Time War set comes out. I'm kind of expecting that this Gallifrey set will be tied in with that series (and possibly the War Doctor series), even if it's just shared characters.

I think we could see the death of Romana during the Time War.

I think we could see the death of Romana during the Time War. Perhaps Romana 2's regeneration, but I don't think BF would kill her off permanently (perhaps the BBC or Chibnall would block them-now Gallifrey is restored he'll probably want to keep his options open for returning Timelord characters) maybe she could go missing during a battle or something..

Romana 2 deserves her very own Androzani at some point. Doesn't necessarily have to be this box set, but it should happen at some point in the Time War.

Question - which maybe a
*** SPOILER ***
Is it the case that Trey no longer exists? I have listened to the last three series/sets and I know that the future was changed, but I didn't take that to mean that Trey had been removed from the future.
What is the common consensus? Have Big Finish made any statement around Romana's future or lack there of?

My 2 pennies' worth would be that the Treys we have so far met in Gallifrey 6 & 7 are matrix projections and/or from a redundant timeline, but Romana 2 will still eventually regenerate into Trey. I think of them as in the same category as the version of 8 who appears as Johann Schmidt in Klein's Story, i.e. a potential 8 but not the actual 8. On the other hand, there is nothing to say that the Trey who narrates the CC couldn't be the actual Romana 3.

The Doctor himself encountered something similar in the Eighth Doctor DWM comics with Nick Briggs's AV!Doctor, who is probably an incarnation from his distant future where the Valeyard, however many Merlins and the Richard E. Grant incarnation originate. Likely during a period when numbering his various lives has become a bit of a pointless exercise.

I am currently listening to series IV which is getting me rather excited about how this Gallifrey: Time War set will play out.
Plus will we get the Doctor's Granddaughter on Gallifrey?

So my hypothesis would be that we will get this Gallifrey Time War set as a reintroduction of the characters ready for them to intertwine into the Eighth Doctor Time War series of boxsets. Or do you expect that we will get more Gallifrey Time War stand alone sets that will run concurrently with the McGann series with limited, if any, cross over? Blimey O`Rielly!!!! The Mind Boggles!! Personally i am quite happy to leave it to the script writers!!! Although Who knows? You might be spot-on

In the Unbound story A Storm of Angels: {Spoiler} Susan stayed on Gallifrey, becoming the president as she was intended to be (as the Doctor was supposed to, based on Auld Mortality). The one the Doctor travels with is an alternate Susan. Because this Unbound Doctor has been irresponsible with his time travel (this what if is what if the Doctor really had changed history?) President Susan is called to bring him in, but at the end secretly swaps places with her terminally ill alternative.

Very exciting news! I was already looking forward to this, but even more so now! I was hoping that we might get Claire Higgins or Ken Bones to reprise their roles too.

Never listened to any of the Gallifrey audios, but the cast list on this certainly me excited/intrigued, and I'm guessing it might act as a jumping on point for new comers to the range, I think I will keep an eye on future plot news for this release

Personally i am quite happy to leave it to the script writers!!! Although Who knows? You might be spot-on Since Ace will be appearing in Gallifrey Time War set, I'm wondering if they will ever have her encounter the 8th Doctor...I don't think the characters have ever crossed paths yet? It would be really interesting to hear how an older, maturer war weary Ace (presumably standing firm with Gallifrey) reacts to the 8th Doctor, a more youthful man of a totally different moral outlook to the 7th standing apart from his own people, whilst she is left with the timelords, old friends operating on very different approaches to the conflict, particularly ironic considering how the moral trickster/chess player that was the 7th Doctor used to operate...
