I don't think you can access the subscriber bonus Short Trips through the app, only by downloading them from your account where they are attached to the relevant MR release. Correct, they're listed as bonus content on the relevant main range releases when you go to your account through a browser. You download them from there by right clicking and selecting "save target as" It's really frustrating trying to find them when you have a lot of main range titles! Yeah, the Subscriber Short Trips releases could do with having their own section in people's download accounts... not just to make them easier to find, but so they can be downloaded via the BF App too.

Hopefully when the BF web site gets unveiled that will be a new feature on it. Has anyone written to sales or the podcast making this request?

I sent in a question about where to find them in the app. If they respond that they can't be, which is what we are thinking, I'll ask them to add them. I hate to download them to my mac, it runs like molasses, and then have to hook up to iTunes to transfer the files over. My case may not be normal, but my mac and iPhone hate each other.

My case may not be normal, but my mac and iPhone hate each other. That certainly isn't normal... a Mac might be incompatable with a lot of things, but it should definitely work with an iPhone!

Lol, more a case I don't use things like Apple wants me to do; I have a lot of files on a portable hard drive for instance and don't want iTunes to sync everything whenever I want to make a change... Basically Everytime I connect my phone to add files via my Mac, it gets screwy and some files are added, others get lost, etc. iTunes will lock up on me...Not to mention my Mac is slow and I'm unable to fix... It's ultimately purely my issue, but that's why the new big finish app was such a godsend since before it was too frustrating to add new files. I would wait for six months and then load stuff in one swoop before the app.

That one word is enough to strike fear in anyone's library of audios!

Stephen is really impressive in studio, most of it is one take. In terms of Doctors, next up it's the First Doctor (or so I believe...) Thank you very much for sharing that! Is there anything more you that you can share about the process, or have you already said as much as you can? What do you want to know?

Do you think we will be getting any more short trips rarities as I really enjoyed the last set? Email the podcast and ask - I think like most decisions it depends on interest and previous sales

I know so little about the process that I don't even know what questions to ask. So, apologies if these are dumb questions. How did it differ from your expectations the first time you saw it? What's it like as an observer? Did you get any of that famous Big Finish lunch?

How did it differ from your expectations the first time you saw it? What's it like as an observer? Did you get any of that famous Big Finish lunch? I've been lucky enough to go to several recordings at various studios, thanks to writing a few pieces and also doing a few articles for Starburst. The famous lunch (and it is wonderful) is reserved for the Moat studios, but wherever you go the atmosphere is relaxed and people are well fed. The Subscriber Short Trips are recorded in Croydon, with Neil Gardner doing the engineer / director role and Stephen Critchlow in a soundproof booth in the office, with the green room outside. Hy-Brasil was recorded third in a block on the same day, and I'd been to studio a few times before. I know one of the other writers, shinyford. He and I met at Croydon station, shared a cab and made our way to a business estate. We met Ian (I'd met him before at the recording of Rulebook) and he introduced us to Neil and Stephen. As this was Nic's first recording, his was recorded first. Stephen is well-prepared and reads the stories through pretty much in one take with few pick-ups. On the day he recorded Monkey House / Rulebook / Hy-Brasil / Collector's Item by early afternoon, allowing us to take stock and retire to a satisfying pub lunch and plenty of stories. Even though I'd been in studio for one of my recordings before, there's a real thrill to hearing the title read out by someone else, and knowing it will be released at some point for others to hear. My first time at the Moat was to interview people during the recording of Survivors Series 1, and it was a bit daunting at first, but that's another story!

Thank you very much for sharing! I'm always intrigued by this kind of thing. And @stevo is right. We eagerly anticipate your tell-all. I'm sure it will be scandalous!

I enjoyed that story, especially since I had heard of Hy-Brasil. Good explanation for a disappearing island! The story itself has some chilling aspects (regarding using other people for experimentation). Satisfying story.
