Let's hope that they aren't in a hurry to revisit it just yet. BF have still got to resolve the Static finale yet with Sixie - two years on nearly and we are still waiting. I don't dislike the idea of an 'older' Mel - but they've got to make it worth investing time for the listener. In essence, Mel is still the same. Yep, she's a bit more scheming and less trustful of the Doctor but even then that is hit and miss. The idea of the 'debt' only made fleeting appearances in the Red Planets trilogy, so it is not like that was a particularly strong story-arc either... Wasn’t the last UNIT set supposed to be the sequel to Static? One of the stories in Incursions is, but Static ends with Flip and Connie still with Six and on somewhat of cliffhanger in regards to the status quo of that team.

A disappointing listen: it's really only half Manchurian Candidate, with the first part basically being a barebones Tomb of The Silurians. And when it does get to MC, it just amount to some really limp political satire and Trump jokes that, even in 2017, were really vanilla.
Have to say also, really didn't like the way 7 and Ace were written either: really childish and a little too simple for where they are meant to be in their own timeline.
