I can't remember if this was covered in its own thread or not, but it popped up in my memory again and got me thinking... If the BBC launched a new line of expanded novelisations based upon episodes from the New Series, what would you want to see?
For me personally, I'd love to see an expanded novelisation of The Crimson Horror that really fleshes out what's only glimpsed at in the episode. Might be interesting to see it fleshed out as a nineteenth-century version of The Avengers with Vastra and Jenny in lieu of Steed and Gale. Time of the Angels could be a really fun Ian Marter-style run around a la the old Target adaptations.

Impossible Planet and Satan Pit had a very New Adventures feel, so being novelised would make that official. Matt Jones did write for the New Adventures, so he's an experienced novelist.

Well, this is no longer such an improbability, eh? Figured I'd bump it back up, to ask what other NuWho stories you'd like to see get the Target treatment?
I think Can You Hear Me would be a huge beneficiary of a novel's scope for more exploration and introspect. Ditto Kerblam to clarify its... tricky ending.

Ditto for The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit. Could imagine a really evocative prologue told from the perspective of one of The Disciples of Light who first imprisoned The Beast.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.
