Forgive the shameless plug but myself and Lauren Yason here at FoxYason have recently secured the rights to produce original audio dramas set in, and based around, the world of the Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks by Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson. This is is an exciting new venture for us so we're trying to spread the word.
The first release is provionally slated for release in September 2017 entitled:
The Warlock of Firetop Mountain: The Hero's Quest.
The script is written by David N. Smith and stars Big Finish stalwarts Tim Treloar, Rachel Atkins and Toby Longworth as Zagor.
We'll be releasing more details very soon including our new website/download/platform plus a trailer/clips etc.
If this release is successful then we will be looking to release a six-story box set in 2018.
Thanks for reading!
(Fox as in Richard Fox and Lauren Yason. You might've seen our names post-producing on a Big Finish or two).
Any chance this'll be available for purchase at the Fighting Fantasy Fest convention in September?
Also: *Please* do the Sorcery books.
Hi. Yes not only will it be available for the Fighting Fest Convention on 2nd September but we will also be there in a seminar room for our official launch.
We will have a members of the crew and hopefully a cast member or two, clips, discussion plus a Q&A for the future of the range, (which may or may not include an original drama based on the Sorcery! series!).
You can also hear our official trailer for the release there too.
There's also a supporting blog, see below, on the Official Fighting Fantasy site in the lead up to the Fighting Fest 2 Convention where will be launching the range with a panel including myself, the writer David N. Smith and Zagor himself Toby Longworth who will also be signing straight afterwards. The CD will also be available at the convention a few days early. The official release date is 3rd September for downloads and CD's will be sent out on the 4th September.
