Thank you for the response - I have taken advantage of the sale and this afternoon ordered The Hero’s Quest on CD! Great. Love to know what you think! Rich I’ll start by saying I have not played these adventures, so I am probably not your target audience. My main issue with the audio was that I simply didn’t find either of the heroes very likeable. Also I would have preferred a mixture of narration and full cast to help set the various scenes and explain some of the action and the various choices on offer to the heroes. It would have avoided the dialogue that was too much “say what you see”. And given more life to the different locations within the mountain. However I thought the ending brave with **SPOILER** The heroes not making it out unscathed and the villain not vanquished. Plus it sets up nicely for the next adventure. **SPOILER ENDS** On a more positive note...Toby Longworth is always great value for money and the music and sound effects all helped with the emersion into this fantasy world. Sorry that I cannot give higher praise for a production that has obviously had a lot of time and effect spent on it. I will give it another listen as I am conscious that I might be unfavourably comparing it to the Pathfinder Legends audios, especially as the leads could never have matched Merisiel and Valeros in my affections.

Hi, no worries! Like Who we are trying to evoke a world that, as you say, fans are the main target market. Often the characters in these gamebooks are not always grounded morally! The story continues in the boxset and Vale and Cassius' story goes on. Thanks for taking the time to listen. Rich

I did enjoy it and set me up to listen further. I have had though the luxury of three full seasons of PathFinder which i was new to,to get familiar with the characters and more of these would probably do the same.

The story evolves and concludes throughout the recently released 4-story boxset, expanding on the TWOFM: The Hero's Quest. Though there's not as much material as Pathfinders we felt we were able to further develop the characters and places of Allansia and hopefully reach a satisfying conclusion. Cheers again Rich
