Thank you. Their character designs were a pet project at the time. Did turnarounds and everything. I thought how great it could be if someone like 80s era Don Bluth or Mike Mignola could have done an animated film of them. When I've stopped being a blubbering mess I'm really tempted to dust them off and do some 'best of' scenes from the stories. Please do! It would be a lovely tribute - the Bluthesque designs suit the tone of the series rather well.

If you want to suggest a scene please mention it and I'll do my best (when it comes to personal work mulling things over in my head tends to stop me from getting stuff done quicker) I do have to do some paid work which has to take priority, but I seriously want to do something in tribute to him.

I think you find that if they had recorded a resolution it be like a jinks

David Richardson said he'd been ill even before recording The Mahogany Murderers. We always had that risk, and I'm happy that they always took it with those cliffhangers. I'd like to think the way the creators hoped for the best was what kept the series so good.

They may have done with some, I know that the 'Litefoot and Sanders' cliffhanger at the end of series one had Chris and Trevor wondering (half-jokingly? I'm not sure) if they were still a duo.

Becca, Your artwork is stunning It would be awesome if Big Finish licensed it from you to include a print with purchases or something. I was rather surprised at how much Trevor Baxter's passing has affected me, but then Jago & Litefoot was the only bit of entertainment I actually looked forward to; most new films and TV not being very interesting to me. I'm very glad to have found this forum TM

I still like The Italian Job despite -- or perhaps even because -- it ended on a literal cliffhanger.

I'm very glad to have found this forum TM Thank you- that's very kind. Im tinkering and redoing my character designs in between my paid work (illustrating a children's book that's half novel, half graphic novel) that's been taking up a great deal of my time, otherwise I'd have done something new already. I found this I did at around the same time (just before series 7 came out)- with an idea of what Ellie may look like. I know what you mean about being affected by Trevor's passing. Of course he wasn't a young man, but I didn't realise how ill he was over these years. Listening to him, you wouldn't know.

Same was true of Lis Sladen, powering through it without any sign of slowing down. I got a real kick in the teeth when I saw the last release for Jago & Litefoot was called Too Much Reality. I've never had the money to go too far afield from the main range, but I'm thinking it's well and truly time I started on the series.

Thanks for the link. A really nice piece from Mr Hadoke. As for the cliffhanger - I'll have to listen again, but wasn't it rather open-ended? Jago and Litefoot might be back in their own time and place, but there was a hint they might not? I think that's rather a nice way to end the series on. Except, of course, that I wish they didn't have reason to end the series at all!

Implied to have been recorded last, based on the announcement news item, and potentially the last adventure, chronologically. The Tenth Doctor says goodbye as part of visiting all past companions just before regeneration. Also, {Spoiler}It ends with The Doctor offering to meet them at the Red Tavern for drinks, and Litefoot says "Well? Shall we?" An excellent way to end the range, except, of course, that Series 14 came out after.

Possibly this is because of the sadness still attached to Trevor not being around any more. But it sounds like a corker!

It was the first story I relistened to after the news, I'd be lying if some bits of it didn't make me tear up in retrospect. But it's a great bookend to the Mahogany Murderers if nothing else, and the story I go back to and listen the most.

Thank you for sharing. Big Finish definitely need to produce a Jago & Litefoot Retrospective book and commission you for some artwork for it.

Litefoots book that Six uses in The Carrionite Curse. If you know of the TV show Gravity Falls, the creators published the canonical Journal 3, and it's a beautiful thing in its own right. Something similar for Reminisces of the Peculiar- with added annotations by Jago and Ellie would be a nice thing to have.

What would be really cool is if BF got you to illustrate a wrap-up graphic novel for the series 13 cliffhanger. Maybe with a CD of Jago reading/telling it TM

I've been wondering if it might be appropriate for someone (I'd be willing to help out, but I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to set it up) to do a fan charity anthology in Trevor Baxter's memory, akin to Seasons of War or one of the other wonderful charity anthologies out there. It might be a great way for all the many Jago and Litefoot fans to celebrate his memory and these wonderful characters while also supporting a good cause.

I suppose you start by getting a series of writers and working out where to send any money it would make. Does anyone know what Trevor's illness was? Where did Seasons of War publish? I think this is something we could do, lots of writers on this forum.
