I've been waiting for more news on this since I made the original thread back when Peter Davison asked about it at a con and Nick nearly had an aneurysm Very excited! I always loved that episode and never understood all the flak it's gotten in the "fan" community.

The Doctor's Daughter could have easily been a Hartnell serial.

"The Doctor's Daughter" is the beginning of the Series 4 obsession with cloning the Doctor, which I thought was ill-advised. In terms of the RTD gallery of stupid ideas, Jenny Who was slightly better than the decision to gift Rose with a human Doctor boy toy.
I'm willing to a give it a chance, though, because it's Big Finish.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Jenny's episode but I do like the idea of Sean Biggerstaff as a companion. I think this will be a wait and see for me. How will this range differentiate itself from others, who is writing for the range etc...

So I'm guessing Christian Brassington won't be invited to the BF christmas party... I didn't realise he was the "leak" till reading FB. For anyone who doesn't know Christian, he played David Tennant's sidekick in St Trinians 2 which also features a Ms J. Whittaker in the cast. Pretty Doctory production in retrospect. He's also quite the villain in the new Poldark and cameoed in the Fiveish Doctors.

So, is this the worst kept Big Finish secret ever?

I feel like this could be very interesting if it plays up the ways Jenny isn't the Doctor – but could fall short if it's just Doctor Who with a different protagonist and no TARDIS.

I wish she had returned to TV, I think she could have had a brilliant relationship with Capaldi.
I've liked Georgia in what I've seen her in, so I'll give this a shot.

I'm guessing they'd worked a Timetable with Actors and Agents and the Writer's blown it up however as I said earlier if your lead performer is happy to confirm publicly you'd think so would an Exec, its a shame we'll never Vol 2 of the Inside Story cause this is "gold". Regards mark687 Well, today's news is tomorrow's fish n chips wrapper, I guess. But I'd love to ask Paul Magrs if he'd agree with the posters who say Nick wouldn't be so unprofessional. Why Paul Magrs?

Take out Jenny and have the Doctor and Susan in one party with Ian and Barbara in the other, tweak some of the scenes to reduce the action and it would be a very Hartnell-esque plod.

Was listening today to the Hexford Invasion/Survivors in Space and it occurred to me {Spoiler} Since the 2nd doctor is a clone, wouldn't that make him Jenny's "brother"?

Also exchange the Murray Gold music for Hartnell-era music. And make it a six parter without adding any extra events to get the pacing right.

I believe David is referring to the Vortex issue in which Nick, responding to a reader, wrote that The Boy that Time Forgot was not exactly his cup of tea. This did not go unnoticed by Mr. Magrs, and thus Nick issued an apology in a subsequent issue.

Well, Peter has let it slip yet again at SDCC, during the Classic Doctor Who panel. Watch it here, at around the 22 minutes mark.

Everyone knows it's happening, so BF should just put it up on the website. Maybe even put a link to Peter Davison confirming it on their behalf at the SDCC panel.

Nick B made a sly comment in Today's Podcast to the effect of its proving trickier than he thinks it should to get New Series stars.
