I'm really up for a discussion about how other characters from the show will or would have reacted to the 13th Doctor...
THE MASTER you know you are just copying don't you... gender swap is so last century.
VASTRA Now that is an improvement
DONNA. ... SEE.... ALIEN!
BRIG Smashing chaps... ah yes... well... still... Smashing lot. All of them.
Let's keep it light... and clean. Lol

I don't think Rose would be happy, Donna would probably be utterly confused, The Brigadier would have a baffled look of surprise but shrug it off as just another Doctor and Strax wouldn't notice the difference.
Fitz Kriener's reaction would be hillarious...

I'm trying to imagine Jamie's reaction. "Will you be wearing a skirt too then?" (Jamie's Revenge! For the benefit of those who don't remember the early classic series, I'm of course flipping the long-standing Second Doctor / Jamie banter of the Doctor gently teasing his Highland friend about his 'skirt' ) (And I apologise to all my Scottish ancestors - I know, it's a plaid he wears! )

Leela : "Now I can teach you the ways of a true warrior!"
Romana II : "Well done Doctor, very good - was the body choice original or one you saw someone else modelling, like mine?"
Tegan : "Look sister, this changes nothing. I'll still give you an earful whenever I like, right?!"

Surely it's a kilt he wears, made from plaid? I think. True Jamie did wear the short kilt in the 60s but it's a bit of an anachronism because it is believed to be a relatively modern garment - he would have had to be a very trendy Highlander to wear one in 1745. It's not really documented but the short kilt is often though to have originated with early industrialisation, for practical purposes among workers with machinery, furnaces and so on. But as piper to the laird of the clan, Jamie would really have worn the full traditional dress and in 'The Two Doctors' Jamie does (finally) change into the full 'belted Plaid' at the first opportunity, so they got it right in the end! EDIT: And credit to Big Finish, they also got it right in the cover illustrations of the Sixie/Jamie trilogy.

Jo : "So, do I still get to be the one the alien kings fancy or are you going to do that part of it too? " Sarah : "Victory! Oh - and the next time we're stuck in the Middle Ages, it's your turn to be the one chopping the vegetables and I'll do the sword fights, OK?!" (To be crystal clear in these hyper-sensitive times, I'm not joking about the new Doctor's gender, but about the roles 1970s companions had because of their gender. And also, Jo is my all-time favourite companion and Sarah (with Leela) is a very close runner-up.)

Candy Jar have indeed released a subscriber short story for the "Lethbridge-Stewart" series where he finds out what the Doctor looks like now....
(I think an interesting reaction would be Benny's. She tries to claim she's terribly liberal - by 20th/21st century standards, at least - but is very surprised at herself when she realises in 'Happy Endings' how offended she is at the idea someone has that she's not marrying somebody "normal").
