Now that's a writer I haven't seen in a good long while. I'm betting the reader is Louise Jameson.

Ooh, I wonder if this will become a regular thing (well, I suppose that will depend on how well it sells) - I like the idea of having books telling stories within the TV show alongside the audios set in the present.

I'm surprised Big Finish are having another go at the books after the Benny and Blake's 7 ones from several years ago didn't get much attention. Adorable Illusion probably got more attention from being heavily delayed than from the content itself. But come payday I'll happily order the ebooks for Benny and Blake's 7 at least.

Adorable Illusion probably got more attention from being heavily delayed than from the content itself. But come payday I'll happily order the ebooks for Benny and Blake's 7 at least. I'm surprised that these recently announced hardcover books don't have a bundle option to entice a potential buyer to buy all 3 of them. (I felt the same way when purchasing the rather costly 4 Dark Shadows audio anthologies this year without a bundle option being offered.) How many customers will actually buy all 3 books at *full price* representing 3 different interest ranges? Or, will buyers wait to purchase them from less expensive vendors (e.g. Book Depository) or when they are drastically marked-down on the Big Finish website? It takes me a long time to get around to listening/reading to ranges like the Omega Factor and Dark Shadows. So I have to question myself, why am I paying full price for products that are continually marked-down after a short year's time? To encapsulate, for ranges and formats that could be a financial challenge to sell well in the first place, I think BigFinish.com could do better in offering them within less expensive early bird value packages.

That makes more sense. I was waiting for one or the other to get moved so the audio and the novel were released at the same time.

Last I heard, the audiobook is due to be recorded in the next few weeks. I'm really interested in hearing how it turns out.

It will if we support it! I've had this, Blake's 7 Heroes and Benny True Stories all ordered since before True Stories was released. The Omega Factor is a little more nieche given that it's a yearly series and Spider's Web filling in the time between the original series and Big Finish's revival, rather then being seen as side stories. I haven't seen the original series, but have listened to the audiobook of the novelisation and am intrigued to what Tom Crane got up to post-TV series and I can't imagine fans who waited all those years aren't either. And Big Finish's revival leaves such a strong impression of who Adam was/is, that I can't imagine listeners aren't curious. Maybe it won't sell, but cynicism helps no-one.
