I'm really happy we have a home here and all but with all the news and with new Who being transmitted, I miss our old BF home. That's it.

Nathan, Big Internet Forum Hug to you and joining us here, we are all the same, and maybe this place will and become better. Who knows. "you can only work with what you got".I too miss the old place, but, this is starting to feel a lot like home.

I think we all miss the place a bit. But the important thing is we still have each other. And the people are more important than the place in my opinion.

I echo your sentiments and I miss the input of the Big Finish staff (and Aussie Doctor Who Fan's contributions), but, well, that time has passed and most of us are here now

I miss the ability to openly share issues. Sometimes they were common problems/concerns, and the forum was a great place to get them sorted out or at least air them. Now the only outlet is Enquiries, which has apparently become rather slow of late. Between that closing and the increasing scarcity of the podcast (it's been a solid month at least since the last one), the customer interaction that lets Big Finish stand out has diminished, to the point where you need to be at conventions to get that sort of interaction now (not something that's affordable to all, or available around the world).

Yeah. That as well, although if this announcement is what we all think it is going to be tomorrow, I bet there is a little podcast to get everyone excited? Not the same I know.

And don't forget - recently we've just become customers to BF - their source of income, nothing more. Maybe it's been since the death of Paul S.

I miss the connection between us, BF staff and the writers, producers.
I also miss the news. It's a shame that news gets posted on BookFace first these days, then twitter then the website (if it even gets there). It shouldn't be too difficult for all three to be integrated so that they could post to the website and have it linked through to twitter (and the other one). If they did that, everyone would get the news and it would free up Joe's time (I assume it's Joe) because he'd only have to post the info once.
Cheers
Tony

Cheers Tony I do think it's rather sad when BF now only solicit fan opinion on Facebook and Twitter simply because there's no discussion on either platform. Just room enough for a quick sentence and an emoj. Not exactly my cup of tea. That's my problem but the BF forum was always a place to get in depth. You'll never get that on FB. This forum has promise for sure but there does need to be more posters. That'll come with a more concerted effort to "market" the forum but I think for now the time is right to get the discussions going on as many topics and ranges as possible to get the chat flowing.

Not that I found the content unappealing, I just found the calling it a Podcast was... well underhand is the best word I can think of right now.

It was The Prisoner advert running for as long as the John Hurt interview I disliked!

I really miss the interaction between us and the BF staff and being able to get answere and help with questions directly via the forum.
But I'm glad we are getting this place going and will still have a place where we can interact among ourselves.

Really the only thing I miss are some of the posters, that may just take time. Really this is already a great forum with a great collection of people, and thanks again for it.
Absolutely agreed that Facebook leaves much to be desired as a means of feedback or communication - it's easy enough to get 500 likes for something and that's meaningful in itself, but what exactly did anyone like about a particular item? The Doctor, the Companion, the villain, the writer, the cover art, the packaging, the price...?
I think forums should still have a great deal of value for endeavors such as Big Finish and I still hope they'll find a way to avail themselves of that somehow when the sawdust and falling plaster at their place cease and desist.

Today definitely missing the official Forum. It was always fun playing the game of "its this or this isn't it with Paul, Kris, Ian and Joe and we could've answered all the standard Newbie questions BF are bound to get.
