Today it is Screaming Trees' Sweet Oblivion in memory of Mark Lanegan. One of my favorite albums.

A pic of my copy of Seven Moons Live, signed by Robin Trower, Jack Bruce and Gary Husband (UK replacing Bozzio, Jeff Beck, Gary Moore and many others). Was sorting through my "vault" where I keep the cool stuff - promos, signed stuff, tickets etc for an appearance on Thrashers Wheat Radio soon and this stood out as Robin announced a new album this week, same week his old bandmate Mr Brooker passed. Was a wonderful show - classics from their 80s albums together, solo stuff, Cream and the new tracks from Seven Moons went down really well. Robin was just the nicest dude. Was tellin us all sorts of war stories. Jack was on top form too - he is from here in Glasgow after all - and was telling us about his childhood etc. Only sad part is he was drinking - after his liver transplant. And not a low-beer either. Still - was a wonderful time and was one of the many times "dont meet your heroes" was BS for me. Arseholes can be in ANY walk of life!

Was a terrific day.
Finally made my appearance on Thrashers Wheat Radio this afternoon my time, the Neil Young fan show syndicated from Vermont. Also released as a podcast and a Youtube show. They work with Neil and his people so it now is sent to them for music approval etc. Should be up in a few days. I am the first guest they have had on the show which is kinda mindblowin but they loved my YT work on Neil.
Then BACK across the pond later on this evening where I was on a Youtuber named Nathan Jones channel. Nathan has thousands of subscribers, and he invited me to resurrect his "Film Journey" series where we talk about my life in film, loves and memories etc. Its been a while since he has done one so it was terrific he asked me.
I will post links to both when they are available post editin in Nathans case and post approval from Neil and co in Thrashers.

I have been a Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne solo artist fanatic since early 1986- wow- 36 years now..
Smashing through "Diary Of A Madman" tonight.. still brings me to tears. Randy Rhoads. omg.. His music is still used as a template for excellence.. He lived and breathed always striving to combine all different genre influences together.
R.I.P. my man.. Those 2 Ozzy solo albums are Untouchable..

Alice Cooper - Constrictor Sweet Oblivion ft Geoff Tate - Sweet Oblivion my fave, Alice Cooper.. Kane Roberts is a beast on guitar.. Plus the album was recorded with a drum machine (2 in a row as the previous legendary album DaDa used the same for most of the album)

The Gary MOORE Band - Grinding Stone Black Sabbath - Born Again Iron Maiden - Maiden Japan Tommy Bolin - Whips and Roses Marillion - An Hour Before Its Dark Fish - Vigil in the Wilderness of Mirrors Some class music - few notes. I saw Moore on the Scars tour, the only one he had with that power trio. Was INSANELY loud and heavy. Tony Iommi found new tapes for Born Again so we may finally have a well mixed version of that album. Its always sounded so muddy. Pre-Bruce Maiden...so underrated but cornerstone of the new wave. I have a boot of the full Japan show and its insanely wonderful. Tommy Bolin had a wonderful career for a man who lived such a little time. Stunnin solo records, James Gang, Billy CObhams Spectrum and of course Deep Purple Mk IV. Fish is releasing a deluxe Vigil later in the year, after finally reachin a deal with EMI. And the new Marillion is just wonderful. If you will indulge me, I made a vid about the very personal connection I had with Steve/h over it.
