Inxs early stuff.....
Why is it so difficult for Alexa to play a chuffin album and not the title track......
Took about ten goes to get her to play the swing by inxs and not the track or some random thing when I was shouting at her........lol
Makes me miss my Walkman and the turning cassette over to rewind the track, then guess how far you need to go before it got fed up and ate the tape

Hello again.
I have just discovered Neil Hannon's latest Divine Comedy album which was apparently released in June. Office Politics is a 16 track delve into the world of work. Lots of witty lyrics, catchy tunes and fabulous synthesisers.
The deluxe album also contains piano versions of the songs from the Swallows and Amazons musical. They are really evocative of the stories. My favourites being The Black Spot and Let's Make the Best of it.

A la Izquierda del Colibri - Jorge Reyes and Antonio Zepeda. Another one courtesy of YouTube. I rather enjoyed the whole thing but it got particularly impressive (if less traditional) about the last third. Pretty cool.

You know it. Hoping he releases the final songs from the original Tsangarides/Olsen session for Number 2

Well, I haven't actually listened to them yet, but I legally download artist-sanctioned amateur recordings from the recent Summer's End Festival, which included a performance by Wobbler, one of the few groups I didn't grow up with whose records I've been moved to purchase the past fifteen years. Also found more Antonio Zepeda music on YouTube, looking forward to hearing that.
Wonderful to still find things that make me ask "How did they do that?" or "How did they think of that?"

Brand New Day, by Sting. The first song on the album, A Thousand Years... I don't think there's quite anything like it. Close my eyes and I can see the steps of the tower climbing up above me. That breathless feeling of walking at the edge of a cliff with the wind sliding across your face like a silk scarf.
