Well, that musical Flash/Supergirl ep was absolutely fantastic - one of the most fun episodes of any superhero show live-action or animated. For all the music, the best part for me was Kara realising she'd made yet another Wizard Of Oz reference with "There's no place like home". Her reaction, the look she gives...hysterical. Melissa is a really gifted comedienne. Loved that the show made cheeky nods to its own ongoing plots like Barry saying "I'm not supposed to do that anymore" when Kara sings about turning back time. I've got this buddy Michael and every year we meet up and watch the Christmas classic Scrooged, get a bit....off our faces and end up singing along to Put A Little Love In Your Heart really loud at the end, so to hear the cast singing that was a bit of a treat. Not quite the same without Alfre Woodard and Bill Murray but hey. Victor Garber and Jesse L Martin singing More I Cannot Wish You from Guys And Dolls was really touching and gave a silly ep a real grounding. Absolutely fantastic. Garber's old school Broadway and it's great to hear him singing in these shows. He did Edelweiss is Legends this year too. It's a perfect episode really. Sure, you couldn't do it every week but it achieves everything it sets out to with gusto and, as with their first team up where they bonded over ice cream, it's wonderful to have these two Super-Friends team up a few times a year. I was smiling along the whole time. I completely agree. I loved every second of it. The only complaint I had was that it wasn't longer. I saw Jeremy Jordan in Newsies when it was here in NJ at the Papermill Playhouse, right before it opened on Broadway. I think he's wonderful. As were they all. I loved seeing Barrowman, too. They all did such a great job.

Not sure I like {Spoiler} Out and out villain Snart. Snarky anti-villain?certsinly. Reluctant anti-hero? Yes.
But nasty streak villain? Nope.
And the Speedforce outright told Barry that Snart died because he was inspired by Barry to be a hero, so a rescued prior to joining the Legends Snart would still be like that,

I think Savatar could be a evil Barry Allen from another earth, the conversation with his older self saying don't tusrt anyone not even me got me thinking it could be Barry.

It's a shame goth-hero SPOILER didn't survive "Legends of Tomorrow", she'd have made an interesting addition to the crew.

Matt came back for that so he clearly still digs the character. He's not short of offers though, from both sides of the Atlantic so I'm not holding my breath. I'd love him to join the Legends Of Tomorrow team in Season 3 though.

As far as I can remember Amell wants him back, but he also reminded fans that despite his engagement with them he doesn't actually get much of a say in what happens. They don't listen it seems.

I will watch anything that has Matt Ryan as Constantine. I gave up on Arrow this season but I would gladly start watching it again if he were on it.

Okay it could work then. Because i was talking with one of the guys in my local comic shop and i statrted talking about a Supergirl/Constantine episode. Someone smarmy with her cleancut character would be funny and also it would be a way to introduce the fact that Supergirl and Superman are suceptible to Magic. Constantine saves the day lol

Outstanding portrayal of The Joker, Cameron's just nailed the part unlike Jared Leto who was in my opinion abysmal. The Jokers a anarchist not a flipping gangster. There have been certain Joker arcs where he is absolutely a gangster, though I agree it's not my preference for the character. I guess with Ledger still THE Joker for this generation they wanted to do something different. I don't blame Leto much - the part as written wasn't good and by all accounts his role was drastically reduced in the edit. I hate the tattoos though. Having him with ink? Fine - but they don't need to say "damaged" and "hahahaha". That's far too on the nose. Maybe Batman should get a tatt saying "brooding".
Don't give Bruce any ideas

I know I'm in the minority here, but I really didn't like the musical episode. It'd been nice if there had been some original songs (rather then the one) and Mon-El and Kara had significant relationship problems that we're just hand-waved away. Relationships are built on honesty and trust and Mon-El, although for very understandable reasons, wasn't honest with her. And let's not forget he comes with a lot of baggage. Kara needed time to reflect and she didn't get that - because, what, he saved her life? He does nice things sometimes? He's trying to be better? Sometimes, you have to give up on love, if isn't working, if there are problems you can't reconcile. So much (says the gay man) of Supergirl's message of female empowerment. Feelings are good, but relationships need more then feelings to work.
I'm not denying this was a massive undertaking for a CW show, but it left me rather cold, particularly with memories of the sheer creativity of the original Mayhem of the Music Meister! (and let's not forget his counterpart in this episode bore little resembelence to the original). I do think Music Meister picking people from Kara and Barry lives and slitting them was a nice workaround the budget, though and the actor as the Music Meister clearly relished the part.

I still hold to my position that he was less Music Meister and more less broody Phantom Stranger.

Quick comment on Distant Sun
One thing which was so important was the show protrayed Rhea's manipulations of Mon-El as abuse. It isn't played for laughs, it isn't a weakness of his character, it's not an attack on his masculinty - she's his Mother and she's actively emotionally manipulating him and messing with him. And - and I know this is the DU, but I'll say anyway: cockroaches this isn't for you - this was so important. It's a valid and real threat to Mon-El. And not to speak over any ladies, but I love how this show is willing to show that women are people, capable of good and evil (although I could do a little less of being Lillian Luthor being Mama crazy and just plain evil).
Long story short: I had a friend and his Mother did this to him all the time. And my friend never called her on it, never, didn't recgonise it as abuse or manipulation. He was a nice guy, but he'd never process such actions as abusive or harmful, because it wasn't physical. He literally thought all Mothers acted like that and it was horrible. [/p][/spoiler]

The season finale for Legends of Tomorrow. That was astounding and brutal, but awesome as well.

It looks like the next season of Legends will be doing the same plot as The Wedding of River Song. It should be fun though.
