I still don't get why he hasn't told Felicity. What loyalty does he have to the mother that supersedes loyalty to Felicity? It's not like he cheated on her, and frankly if only one kid exists from Oli before the Island he's pretty lucky. It's not like Felicity wouldn't understand (maybe an initial outburst of anger, or hurt, because that's human). But this is just Oli keeping secrets because Oli needs a secret that will blow up his mayoral campaign. Cos he's a d!ck. This is the main thing that buhs me about this series. Every year he makes a series of ludicrous character destroying decisions just to create a dramatic situation further down the line.

Every year he makes a series of ludicrous character destroying decisions just to create a dramatic situation further down the line. That's been kind of my feeling from the get go, with this secret at least. I get that he may not want to immediately say it, it's a lot of baggage, and his own reluctance to propose may have fed into that, but that was weeks ago.
I thought the entire point of Last season and into this season was the Oli is growing up, and trusting telling people what's going on. The entire fight in the light theme of this season is betrayed by the "I can't tell the woman I'm marrying, I have a kid from when I was a total douche."
That being said, it's kind of why Arrow is at the bottom of my too watch list on my DVR. (Flash is still #1 though. At least Barry has the excuse of being a bit of a social awkward idiot for some of his stupid decisions.)

Yeah, Arrow's been awful this year. I do not need Ra's Al Ghul - in ANY media - to use a phrase like "BFF". Ever. Olly's incredibly unsympathetic, Felicity has been annoying for 2 years and Diggle feels like an extra until he randomly gets his own eps every few months. There's also very little to differentiate. the way they've used ALL their big bads from Merlyn to Slade to Dhark. We've kinda done the "supervillian taking over the city through business and politics" thing to death. Arrow has never been as strong since it had to fit into a shared universe. Go watch Season 1 - it's a different show. Not an evolved show - it's 100% not the same show as it was. What started as a, let's be honest, Dark Knight rip-off now has to incorporate magic, time-travel and - if the teasers fr Hal Jordan ever pay off - cosmic events and it just doesn't work as well. I also think the crass way Felicity overcame losing her legs is really, really awful.
Flash is almost always better than Arrow and I think much of that is because the goofiness that doesn't work in Arrow at all works fine with Flash. The one major issue I have is that Barry, for a scientist who can read books on any subject and retain the info for half an hour - never seems to actually solve the problems himself. It's Wells, it's Kaitlyn or it's Cisco. Speaking of whom, I hate that the CW shows think all smart people (Cisco, Ray Palmer, Felicity, Curtis) talk in the same sassy but incredibly clipped and nervous way. All 4 could swap dialogue easily complete with fetishes for naming supervillains. The MVP is Tom Cavanagh - he's the best thing on any DC show. He doesn't set a foot wrong. Neither does the guy that plays Joe. I wish Caitlyn would get something to do more often though.
Supergirl is kinda fun. I think it's got the most likable leads of all the shows. It's early days but I like the dynamics. The big Hank Henshaw reveal was a wonderful swerve and made me feel much better about Manhunter not being in the DC movie plans. A few worrying signs of more than one love triangle though - massively overused trope in Smallville, we don't need it here in another Supes-show.
Gotham is as insane as ever. It's the most off-the-wall, dumb, ill-thought out of all the shows but somehow that makes it work for me. I don't care it's burnt through all the big Batman rogues gallery 20 years too soon, it's never becoming a Batman show ANYWAY so why not just sub Jim Gordon for Batman? Anyone who is keeping up with Detective Comics, where Jim IS Batman, will appreciate the irony.
I've only seen the first two Legends Of Tommorrow and, sorry, it seemed awful from that 90 miute pilot. The only one playing it as tongue in cheek - which the material should be - is Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold. And Victor Garbert drugging his Firestorm counterpart into a suicide mission being treated as a joke? This show already has no idea of what tone it should be reaching for. Combine that with the likes of Ray Palmer - who no-one liked on Arrow or Flash, and Sara Lance - dead twice and no-one cared either time...and it makes me think this show will be the most problematic of them all.

Last night's Flash was cool. I loved the Supergirl cameo, and I guess that confirms that they will be using the multiverse for that crossover. I think I like evil Cisco more than I like good Cisco.

At least Supergirl hasn't had Kara pining obsessively over anyone, or pushed romances to the forefront. Arrow pushed Oliver and Laurel while one of the worst aspects of the first season of Flash was Iris, specifically Barry's crush on her. Both leads had more convincing romances with characters they developed a chemistry with instead of the characters written from the start as potential love interest.

Last night's Arrow was pretty cool. {Spoiler} It was great seeing Merlyn as the villain again. I'm so used to John Barrowman's other role, that I half expected his hand to grow back. Based on the ending, I think we can make a pretty good guess as to who's gravestone Oliver was visiting in the flash forwards.

Laura Vandervoort (Smallville's Supergirl) to play the bad guy Indigo in upcoming episode Solitude, a being capable of traveling via the internet and with a connection to Kara's past. Will also feature the Fortress of Solitude.

For all the mis steps and so on that the DC shows make I still enjoy the hell out of them, except Gotham, that can take a running jump. The Marvel shows (excepting Agent Carter...go Hayley Atwell!) bore me senseless. Grim dark isn't character development. It's just dull. Still haven't bothered watching the last few episode of Dare Devil Season 1 and as for Jessica Jones? So everyone has re read 80s Miller and STILL missed the point.
Anyway. I'm actually liking Legends, I just don't know where they can go with it. They either defeat Savage or they don't.

Don't get too attached to Carter. It's dropped about 25% in the ratings this season - it was already quite low - and seems less likely to return than any of the comic shows. I was reading Hayley Atwell is signing up for another pilot which, if it goes to full season order would mean Carter would have to end anyway, so it seems like she's making contingencies. A shame, as Carter is consistently excellent and it would be a shame to end it before we actually see SHIELD's true early days.

A shame, as Carter is consistently excellent and it would be a shame to end it before we actually see SHIELD's true early days. The drop in ratings might be because many shows are returning after the mid-season break, so more competition for people's time. Lots of shows in the same demographic as Agent Carter are the DC Arrowverse shows as well as Gotham and Supergirl. At least it's not competing for viewers with Agents of SHIELD, although it is with The Flash over on the CW. The CW is pretty much dominating the weekly line-up with big name shows on nearly every night of the week, such as the aforementioned Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supernatural (on season eleven) and The Vampire Diaries (on season seven and no sign of serious decline). Agent Carter is going well. Hayley is a strong lead and the actor playing Jarvis never makes him any less than a delight (his struggles with Howard Stark's animal collection are very funny indeed). The other cast members are great (Rose got a chance to shine in the last episode) and it's a worthy, feel good addition to the larger MCU. Big Finish is lucky they got to work with such a great actress as Hayley Atwell.

Arrow & Flash i enjoy although i felt Arrow started weak this fourth season, Supergirl is half descent but cheesy acted.
I'm not interested in Legends Of Tomorrow it's one spin off to many.
For me Marvels Daredevil wiped the floor with the lot of em.

. For me Marvels Daredevil wiped the floor with the lot of em. Younger me would have 100 per cent agreed with you. Now I see it as grim for the sake of grim and that bores me...though the fight in episode 2 was great.

A good title for a Flash episode would be Terminal Velocity.

A good title for a Flash episode would be Terminal Velocity. Let this fine gentleman pen a episode please. It seems like a great finale episode title. It's got the speed reference and the use of the word Terminal adds a certain tension to it. I'd rather pen a Green Lantern episode though. Loads more potential there, just as long as the costumes are made with regular materials instead of CGI.

Well there are few things that would let you have a planet as a character to be fair.
