This is going to be SO DAMNED GOOD! First Julia returns this series, now Burke! An embarrassment of riches. Can't wait. Oh...and TLATKLS, who is just amazing.

I wonder how they'll work around Joe? I hope he gets recast. I've been waiting for a proper Joe and Maggie reunion for years and years! Do we know what year this story takes place in? We know from Return to Collinwood that Joe won't be around after 1992.

All this year's "dramatic readings" take place after Bloodlust (with the flashbacks of Panic and Shurafa obviously being slight exceptions, but the narrations are 1984 or so).
So I think "...And Red All Over" is about that time. Possibly a chunk of time later because of spoilers.

Burke Devlin and Cody Schell is writing, can it possibly get better?
Also, I haven't even gotten the chance to listen to it yet, but I have to make some comment on the Dark Shadows Soundtrack. I wondered why it took so long to download, but looks to be about 4 1/2 LP sides of David Darlington's fantastic music and it's a .wav file. The real, genuine, audible above 16,000 kHz article.
How INCREDIBLY generous AND classy of Davy and Joe!!

Wow... I really should have requested that Big Finish come up with a CD of Lesser Used Superlatives to assist in properly praising their Dark Shadows line without being totally redundant... At the risk of elevating people's expectations just slightly here...
Welcome back, Mitch Ryan!!! Brilliant! Kathryn Leigh Scott - also brilliant! Totally! Cody Schell and virtually everyone else - brilliant as well, truly! That was riveting. Stunning. A most awesome finale to a most awesome season. I am amazed and in awe and otherwise about speechless. Oh my God, was that Burke Devlin?
Burke, Burke, Burke, Burke, Burke, Burke, Burke, Burke, Burke... Wonderful Burke!!
And... sigh... that Joe Haskell really IS one lucky fellow...
Wow...
Thanks, Big Finish!!

I have to agree! That was spectacular! So many little nods and winks to the pre-Barnabas era of the show, including a return to one of the most riveting plot-lines the show has ever seen All in all a great outing. I hope Burke pops up some more in the next batch, and I definitely hope he manages to find Victoria one of these days.

Would write more about this, but I can't find my fountain pen ... maybe I dropped it on the beach!

Would write more about this, but I can't find my fountain pen ... maybe I dropped it on the beach! Great seeing you at Collinwood Joe! Still can't believe we were there. Loved the costume! Wasn't this audio excellent? Loved all the nods to the original series and the early days. Mitch Ryan and TLATKLS were really in top form!

I believe the heavy breathing was The Ink, as they're credited in the cast list.
I don't recall the constellation reference, but I believe the match flame was a fake-out eluding to Laura.

I have to echo the thanks for the references to the pre-Barnabas era. The writer also got references to that in The Flip Side, which really goes to show how much the audios expand on what is in the TV episodes.
A great aspect of this story is the ambiguity around the Ink, how it's never confirmed whether or not they are supernatural. It fits in perfectly with the early TV episodes (sure, there was ghostly activity here and there but it never really linked into the non-supernatural plotlines of that earl period), and how we last was Maggie at the end of Bloodlust. The podcast with Cody Schell is very interesting listening.

WHY ARE WE NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT TEASER? I AM RATHER EXCITED ABOUT IT I must have missed you say this... I got to hear ARAO as soon as it was finished. And there was the teaser at the end. And then no one seemed to comment on that after release. I found myself wondering if it hadn't been put on the final edit for the CD.

So the story ends with Burke (Devlin) seeing Maggie off from the hospital as she returns to Joe, cue credits. Near the end of the credits we hear the distinctive sound of the Ink breathing, then it goes to a bunch of trailers for old stories. What was the teaser you're alluding to and have I mentioned it here?
