It's been promised that the website will get an overhaul at some point in the future. Possible October/November, as Nick has mentioned in the podcast. Features I'd like to see: - A wishlist function (also alerting you to when releases you're interested in are part of a sale or special offer, since there are listeners who don't always check the site or their email each week for sales)
- The Randomoid Selectotron integrated into the website proper
- Listener ratings (a star system) for listeners to rate the stories. If someone is browsing a range, looking for something lots of people like, then this would help enormously if they don't have access to a forum, Facebook page or anywhere else for recommendations. Making sure people stay on the site instead of going elsewhere for ratings.
- Something in the behind the scenes tab indicating whether previous releases are required, and how much they are if they are. For example, a release may continue a storyline but give all the information you need in the story itself, or there might be other releases you'll need to have heard first to understand what's going on. A line or two saying where characters next appear in regards to ongoing storylines (Carriage of the Damned might have "Sabrina returns in Deliver Us From Evil"). Recommendations along the lines of "If you like this, check out these stories".
- Maybe a ten, fifteen minute tease, like the drama teases at the end of the podcasts, for new releases at least an hour long. That'd give people something to try without giving away the whole story, and provide them extra incentive to want to buy the release if only to find out what happens next. It's like when you read a free excerpt of the first chapter in a book.
Gift cards are a popular suggestion, and one I have no issue with.

A download link on the main story description page which would be enabled for the titles purchased. Also the orders page can show the total amount spent .. though looking at this might be depressing in my case atleast

Randomidselectortron, sound like a blast. I would second the user rating, I think that would go down well. Although, can you imagine going through all the releases you own.

I'd like to be able to filter releases by writer, actor, producer, etc. The search function is alright, but a page where we could easily look at someone's entire collection of contributions would be delightful.

While I really don't have much issue with the current site, being able to bookmark or "wish-list" titles would be good.
Okay, a fully integrated Ran (domoid Selectotron) would be good.

proper access to bonus material using the big finish app also podcasts available too, a quality selection too we don't always need best quality on the go or have loads of data to use.
ok so it's not really website related but of more importance than the website too me.
i think the website needs a overhaul of the ranges selection and what section "none standard" releases fall in thats very random at the moment.
a wish list is something everyone has been asking for also a better way of searching for titles currently its very hit and miss you can find what you want.
but i would hold back from the current trend to streamline things (aka amazon, bbc and apple) this often leads to things being harder to find than easier and means i use it less not more.
and please don't go all clever on us using snappy graphics, videos and transition which look very clever for about 10 minues the just annoy as they take extra time to load and slow stuff down
forgot to mention you need to have proper options in the search function eg being able to filter results like all 6th doctor in 2010.

I don't really have a problem with the website the way it is, but that might partly be because I am used to it. The only tiny thing I have any kind of issue with is the drop-down on the right that lists all Big Finish series. Why not put them in alphabetical order? I've never understood that

In some pages the bundles button is enabled but on click says "sorry no bundles available ".. which is so disappointing This seems to be a bug though ..

For the switchover to be as painless as possible (please no losing of purchases).
A wish list function would be handy.

Is a website refresh due? Last time there was one, I got personally "blamed" for it on the BF forum, I'd long complained about the old website and made lots of suggestions about how it could be improved, and when the update was done, and some problems emerged, more than one person blamed me, which was amusing, since as best as I'm aware, BF pay me no more heed than the next random customer.

A NEW Big Finish website you say? (Rushes off to download everything ... just in case ... ) Can't think of anything specific that I would want from a new improved BF website, but I hope whatever they do it doesn't become one of those websites that takes ages to load as there's so much going on on the home page.

I want them to start offering the original series sound tracks like they used to have years ago.
As well, is like the bonus releases/subscriber shorts to be available as regular releases for people who have them, so they can be accessible from the app.

I would like to see the "wish list" which has already been mentioned. I would also like to have the option of "tagging" a title to show that you have it even if you bought it on another site, etc. That way, while searching through stuff you would be able to see if you have it (even if you didn't buy it directly from BF). The last option I would like to see, I'm sure won't happen, is to have a category for the "discontinued" titles, such as Stargate, Highlander, Robin Hood, Tomorrow People. That way we can find the download that way instead of having to search page after page of individual titles to find those series. Yes, you can still download those if you bought them.
By category, I don't mean on the main page for everyone to see and start questions about. I mean in your own account tabs.

I'm expecting a refresh will focus far more on sales and searchability, I would be surprised if it supported the fan stuff for discontinued lines, I'm expecting something far more slick, but less engaging.

I'm going to sound like a total luddite but how would wish-list function save someone from checking their E-mail or the Website, surely you need to regularly check the status on the things on it somehow or may miss changes?

Regards mark687 I and many others from comments long ago, used to use the old website basket as a means to hold stuff as it comes up, "Oh, yeah, I want that" and then move on, next week do it again and so on until ready to purchase, that way I don't have check and research and find stuff, I just mark it as it comes up.
