Kingdom of Lies promises to be a good one with a comedic element. The two writers previously wrote The Ravelli Conspiracy (currently on sale), which was like that. Tegan is someone who could carry out a literal if looks could kill.

Well, I'm not going to be able to subscribe, but I'll definitely be preordering these three. I've enjoyed the work from all of these writers and the Fifth Doctor releases these past couple of years have been extraordinary, so I'm expecting some real quality stuff.

And good to see Barnaby Edwards back at the helm. All three sound good and the idea of the giallo inspired adventure should be fun.

The shared love of giallo films between Guy Adams and David Llewellyn (two terrific writers) makes me hope for some wonderful things with Serpent in the Silver Mask (a title that could have come straight from the early 1970's plethora of giallo films). Can't wait. I hope that the incidental music will have a flavour of Ennio Moriccone or Bruno Nicolai - some of those soundtracks were (and are) to die for! Lovely stuff to look forward to.

Adric.. Amazing how much "better" he was in that 5th Dr boxset- character wise.. Can't wait to hear him in the Main Range

It's a strange one. But then, it was, I imagine, deliberately written to invite controversy. I really like it, although I can't really relate the story's events with the Fifth Doctor TARDIS crew we know and love from the majority of Series 19. For me, it exists as another 1996 TV Movie - not quite part of what we know, but not quite apart from it either. And really intriguing and enjoyable!

You obviously need to stop this other priorities lark then! Seriously though, when you do get around to buying more BF stories you really can't go wrong with picking up the three Fifth Doctor main range stories from the start of the year that featured Matthew Waterhouse reprising his role as Adric, they were top notch.

April: 237. The Helliax Rift - by Scott Handcock, starring Peter Davison May: 238. The Lure of the Nomad - by Matthew J Elliot, starring Colin Baker June: 239. Iron Bright - by Eddie Robson, starring Colin Baker July: 240. Hour of the Cybermen - by Andrew Smith, starring Colin Baker August: 241. Red Planets - by Una McCormack, starring Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Bonnie Langford September: 242. The Dispossessed - by Mark Morris, starring Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Bonnie Langford October: 243. The Quantum Possibility Engine - by Guy Adams, starring Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Bonnie Langford November: 244. Warlock's Cross - by Steve Lyons, starring Sylvester McCoy, Tracey Childs
My thoughts: Looks like Helliax Rift is the stand alone/anthology for next year. Not usually this early in, it's mid-year at earliest (Company of Friends for example, or Recorded Time) Not surprised by the Seventh Doctor trilogy, Nick's My Big Finish Life gave us some info on that Wonder if Christian Edwards is in the story with Klein. Steve Lyons created Klein, so that's going to be interesting. Is the final trilogy going to be rotating Doctors? Guess we'll have to wait for Static to find out if the Sixth Doctor trilogy might feature Flip and Connie

In that case, the anthology would be the Fifth Doctor for the third year in a row. Final trilogy going Seven, Six, Five IF it's a rotating Doctors trilogy - with a double release in December to complete the possible trilogy and the year. Oh I do hope Flip and Constance will still be with Sixie. But the title 'The Lure of the Nomad' worries me a bit, as if he might be heading off alone...

We haven't had a trilogy without a regular companion since the Black TARDIS trilogy back in 2011, the final story of which introduced Sally and brought her in as the new companion. Titles can be misleading. A zaltys is some kind of folklore snake or something, but the story with that name had nothing to do with snakes or folklore, just being the name of the planet.
